NAME: LANA DALES CURRENTLY STUDYING: LEVEL 3 FASHION REATIL BUSINESS INTERESTS: FASHION, STYLING, RUNNING CAREER GOAL: MAGAZINE EDITOR, BUSINESS OWNER WHAT IS FASHION JOURNALISM TO ME? I've always enjoyed reading magazines ever since a young age as I think it's the perfect way to express your creativity while putting information and ideas out there. Fashion Journalism has the prime focus on the world of fashion with it involving to report all the key fashion events, trends and news. Fashion journalism for me is a way to build a community while putting your and other people's opinions across, it's a way of spreading valued information to catch the interests of people by using the power of words as it can change lives. Its a way to explore and share my passion for my fashion. It allows you to express you creativity in such a fun and unique way. I want a career in fashion journalism as I want to aspire and entertain readers while promoting key thngs which need to be discussed like diversity and inclusivity in the industry. Culture in fashion has a massive part to play within fashion and my interest in fashion. Fashion for me is the perfect way to self-express yourself and to really find yourself without it all being about looks and beauty. There are so many fun eras and specific events within fashion which has really altered it and this is something I love to explore and to research more on.

Running has become an increasingly popular thing over time but has grown massively over the past year with influencers and celebrities promoting it more. But how has fashion affected running and has it altered it in anyway? Fashion has had a significant impact on running over the years. In the past, running was seen as a practical activity, and the clothing worn was often basic and functional. However, with the rise of athleisure and the popularity of fitness as a lifestyle, fashion has become much more influential in the running world. Does fashion affect your running and in what way? If you feel cute and fashionable it can make you feel better about yourselves and really boost your mood and energy this will then will hopefully lead to better results and then motivate you more. So many people have been influenced into running and signing up to races whether it’s a couch to 5K, 10K, half marathon or full marathon, and at each event you see so many people are wearing different styles of legging and tops. Good clothing can look nice on which then makes you feel more confident, but if it is not designed properly, it could cause you discomfort when running, whether its chafing due to poor fit and material which may discourage you from running again. The clothing you wear should make you feel empowered. I can do this! Today, running clothes are not only designed for function but also for style. Brands are constantly innovating with new materials and technologies to create clothing that is both comfortable and fashionable. From high-performance running shoes to stylish leggings and tops, runners now have more options than ever before. More and more fashion brands other ranges so the clothing has become more affordable.

How the impact of fashion on running and the role of influencers has altered running trends? Fashion has influenced running by adding personal style and unique accessories to running outfits. Social media platforms have played a significant role in shaping the way people think about running fashion, with influencers sharing their favourite running looks and inspiring others to experiment with their style. They have also impacted the industry by influencing the types of products marketed to runners and the way running events are organised. However, the influence of social media can have a negative impact, and it is important to note that not all influencers are positive for the sports community. How Lululemon's has impacted running and fashion? Lululemon has become a household name in both the fashion and running communities due to its high-quality, stylish athletic wear that caters to runners of all skill levels. Apart from the clothing's durability and comfort, the brand's commitment to sustainability and ethical production practices has earned them a devoted following from environmentally conscious runners. Additionally, Lululemon's community-oriented events like yoga classes and run clubs have contributed to their popularity by fostering a sense of belonging among runners. In recent times, Lululemon has been known to sponsor and support some of the biggest sports influencers. For instance, Jonny Davis, who recently completed running the entire tube line in just 11 days, covering 572K. Anya Cullen, who turned to running to maintain her mental health during lockdown, has found a passion for it and is now an accomplished marathon runner competing in major events worldwide. Overall, Lululemon has successfully bridged the gap between fashion and function in the running world while maintaining its position as a key sport brand with unmatched clothing quality. The impact that Lululemon has had on the running and fashion industries is undeniable. Their commitment to creating high-quality, stylish athletic wear has not only elevated the standard of running apparel but has also made it more accessible to a wider audience. The brand's focus on sustainability and ethical production practices has also set a positive example for other companies to follow. By sponsoring sports influencers and organizing community-oriented events, Lululemon has created a sense of belonging and inspired runners to push their limits. Overall, Lululemon has successfully combined fashion with function and has solidified its position as a leading brand in the world of sports apparel. Overall, fashion has transformed running from a practical activity to a stylish and fashionable one which is drawing so many new people into the sport. As new trends emerge and technology continues to evolve, it will be exciting to see how the intersection of fashion and running evolves in the future. I will certainly keep on running!!

This collection was created as a range for HOUSE OF CB, inspired by African fashion. I called my range Soft Summer Sensuality as its all inspired by summer. The board above is the inspiration board I created for my range showcasing the colour, styles and prints Ive used for my range.

CRAZE Magazine was created as my Final Major Project and we got pretty free rein on being able to create something we want. I chose to create a magazine all about Y2K fashion as it's the best way to write about now and then. I've been able to research about culture in fashion as well through this project. This project allowed me to research further into key fashion trends and events which have really altered fashion and particularly trends. I believe I have used and highlighted my skills and abilities well during this project, and that was proven when my final grade was a Distinction on this project. In the end, I created a 63-page magazine.
