VIKING FUND 2025/26 Faithful, annual gifts made to LCS have a far-reaching impact in the lives of children and teenagers.
The mission of Lakeland Christian School is to educate students in the light of God’s Word to equip them for a lifetime of learning, leadership, service and worship.
What is the Viking Fund? The Viking Fund is Lakeland Christian School’s annual giving program, where families and friends come together each year to make a lasting impact. Your generosity goes beyond tuition and fees, fueling meaningful opportunities that enrich the lives of our students and strengthen the LCS experience.
What is the purpose of an annual fund? At LCS, students are encouraged to grow in every area—academically, creatively, athletically, socially and spiritually—within a Christ-centered community. From the classroom to the stage to chapel to the athletic field, they gain skills, confidence, and a deep foundation of faith. Many of these opportunities are made possible through the generous support of families and friends.
What projects has the Viking Fund financed in recent years? From activity buses that carry students on trips and to competitions, to safe and inviting playgrounds, to a versatile pavilion used for athletics and school events—the Viking Fund has touched nearly every aspect of campus life. Covered walkways, expanded dining areas, and new restrooms at athletic facilities have made daily routines more convenient and enjoyable for students and families alike. The Viking Fund has also provided important upgrades to campus security, including reinforced doors and windows and fencing. These projects, while practical, ensure that every student can learn and grow in a safe, Christcentered environment.
How much is LCS trying to raise this year? This year, our goal is to raise $250,000 by June 30, 2026.
How will my gift be used? Students are the direct beneficiaries of gifts to the Viking Fund. Your generous contributions will be used to help fund one of the following significant LCS initiatives for the 2026-27 school year:
AUDIO/VISUAL UPGRADES THROUGHOUT CAMPUS LCS is making significant upgrades to our audio/visual systems across campus. Enhanced sound and visual capabilities will elevate Fine Arts performances, chapel and worship services, athletic events, and a wide variety of student gatherings. It will also improve campus-wide communication during security events.
CARLINE FANS To care well for both students and faculty, we are also working to improve comfort in one of the hottest spots on campus—carline. New mounted fans will be installed along the covered walkways where teachers and students wait for pickup each afternoon. This simple but impactful addition will provide welcome relief from Florida’s heat, creating a more pleasant and safe environment for our community during those daily transitions.
Who should give? The Viking Fund is a community effort. Board members, faculty, and staff commit each year, and parents, grandparents, and extended family are invited to join them. Alumni and alumni parents are also invited to invest in the students who now follow in their footsteps.
How much should I give? As with all stewardship giving, participation is ultimately a personal decision between you and the Lord. We invite every member of the LCS community to join in at a level that feels right for your family. What matters most is not the size of the gift, but the willingness to take part. Every contribution— large or small—enhances the educational experience of the next generation of students.
How do I give, and when? One-time or recurring monthly gifts may be made online at www.lcsonline.org/support/, by mailing a check to the school, or through contributions of appreciated securities, real estate, or other assets. We encourage all commitments to be fulfilled by June 30, 2026, so your gift can be counted in this year’s campaign. Every gift makes a meaningful difference in the life of our school community.
Viking Fund Match! Annual fund gifts made prior to the end of the calendar year (December 31, 2025) will count towards a special Viking Fund Match. A generous donor has agreed to match all donations up to $40,000.
