Dear Parents,
We hope you are looking forward to our Concert on Thursday 30th April 2026 at 7pm, held in the Assembly Hall.
It’s difficult to believe that the Summer Spectacular is here again. And indeed, is so early (due to public exams) that we can’t call it the Summer Spectacular anymore. It is henceforth renamed ‘The Spring Spectacular’. (Even the LEH Music Department doesn’t have the nerve to designate a concert ‘Summer’ in April.) However, the stunning quality and exquisite musicianship remains the same and we have some real highlights for you. We have 3 numbers from the notoriously demanding genius that is Leonard Bernstein, some old school charm with Lullaby of Broadway and many corkers including Hairspray and I Will Survive. In addition, our final tranche of Leavers’ soloists will captivate and move you, performing music by Elgar, Rossini and Beethoven amongst others. See you there!
What does your daughter need to wear?
• Black dresses or skirts – to the knee at least. Opaque black tights. No bare legs. No white socks.
• Black leggings only if covered by a t-shirt or skirt of a decent length.
• Black trousers are also fine but no black jeans. Black tops/shirts with no logos. Tops should cover the shoulders. No bare midriffs.
• Black shoes – no trainers.
Arrival and Departure
• If pupils are staying after school, they need to bring a packed tea. They will be supervised at all times by staff.
• 3rds – U5 should go to the LRC from 4-5.45pm to complete their homework where they can be supervised.
• At 5.45pm, they should go to the Dining Room to eat their packed tea.
• At 6.15pm, they should get changed and take everything to their green rooms.
• Pupils will meet parents in Atrium by the lunch hall once the concert has finished.
• Thirds, L4 and U4 – Theatre
• L5 & U5 – M1
• 6th form – Common rooms
Seating
You will be able to choose seats as you arrive on the night of the concert – seats are unreserved. Doors open from 6:30pm. Drinks and snacks will on sale on arrival and at the interval.
The ticket link will go out to parents on Friday 24th April in the Friday Post. Please do not share the ticket link with others. You may buy as many tickets as you wish for this concert.
