Clubs Autumn term 2026 Our co-curricular programme is designed to enrich your daughter’s experience at LEH beyond the classroom. With a wide range of clubs available, pupils are encouraged to discover new interests, develop skills and grow in confidence within a supportive environment. These activities promote teamwork, creativity and resilience, while also fostering friendships across year groups. We encourage all pupils to make the most of the opportunities on offer. As a school, we recognise the importance of making new friends and having time to socialise and play, particularly when settling into a new school environment. For this reason, Form 1 pupils should sign up for no more than three lunchtime clubs during the Autumn term, ensuring they have at least two lunchtimes free to play outside. We also ask that Form 1 parents limit after-school club signups to a maximum of two in the Autumn term, as the first term—often involving longer school days and journeys—can be especially tiring for younger pupils. Each year group has one lunchtime each week that is free from clubs, helping to maintain a healthy balance and reinforcing the importance of social interaction and free play. Please note that pupils are unable to attend two clubs during the same lunchtime, as they must also allow time to eat their lunch.

club bookings The Clubs Fair on Wednesday 9th September provides an opportunity for all pupils to find out more about the clubs on offer this term. Unless otherwise indicated, clubs are booked via SOCS and are available at no additional cost. Some clubs incur an additional cost. Most paid clubs are booked directly with the club provider. The SOCS booking system for the Autumn term clubs will be open from 6pm on Wednesday 9th September to 9am on Friday 11th September.

Banging On! Banging On! is a percussion ensemble for pupils in Upper 1, Lower 2 and Upper 2.
Brass Band The Brass Band meets weekly in the Music Department of the Senior School. Your daughter will have the opportunity to play with girls from the Senior School and perform with them in their various concerts.
Chamber Groups The chamber groups meet weekly and are made up of musicians who are grade 5 or above. Pupils are invited to join and are expected to commit to the group for the whole year.
Jazz Band Jazz Band is open to any pupil of grade 2 standard and above on an orchestral wind instrument (woodwind or brass). Pupils are expected to commit to the band for the whole year. Jazz Band will perform in concerts through the year. Rehearsals are weekly.
Junior Holles Singers Pupils are invited to audition for a place in Junior Holles Singers (JHS) once they have been a member of the school choir for three terms. Once a place has been offered and accepted, pupils will be expected to attend two morning rehearsals each week throughout the academic year. JHS proudly perform in concerts.

String Ensemble The string ensemble is open to pupils who are at about grade 4 standard and above. Pupils are invited to join and participate for the whole year. The string ensemble will perform in concerts throughout the year. Rehearsals are weekly.
String Superheroes Beginners in violin, viola and 'cello are invited to participate in String Superheroes. The String Superheroes perform to audiences at our annual Christmas Concert and Arts Festival.
L2 and U2 Swim Squad Running before school, morning Swim Squad is invitation only and is for Lower 2 and Upper 2 pupils. Pupils are prepared for competitions by gaining experience at swimming galas. The PE teachers monitor all the pupils in swimming lessons and based on this, some pupils will be invited to specific swimming training clubs. Regular attendance and commitment are required to ensure invitations to galas.
lunchtime clubs ArtSparks ArtSparks is run by an enthusiastic team of LEH Sixth Form History of Art students whose aim is to inspire a love of art. Each week pupils will learn about an artist, painting or movement as inspiration for them to make their own creations.
Badminton Come to Badminton to learn the skills of this fun and exciting game. You will develop the techniques needed to play both singles and doubles matches, including serving, rallying, footwork, and coordination. Sessions will focus on improving confidence, teamwork, and game understanding through a mix of drills and friendly matches. Pupils will also learn the rules of the game and how to play with good sportsmanship in a supportive and enjoyable environment.

Bold as Brass
An exciting musical opportunity, Bold as Brass is available for pupils who wish to go further with learning a brass instrument following brass workshops in previous years. Pupils do not need to have participated in this club before. This group will build on the start already made to learning a brass instrument and foster the enjoyment of ensemble performance in a small group situation.

lunchtime clubs Cheerleading Fun and fast with lots of teamwork! Cheerleading club gives the girls an exciting opportunity to learn cheerleading routines, stunts, jumps, dance and teamwork skills in a fun and supportive environment, with the opportunity to perform routines.

Whether you’re a beginner or a budding grandmaster, you’ll learn new moves, challenge your friends and sharpen your thinking skills. Come along, enjoy the game, and discover the excitement of chess!

Choir The Junior School Choir is open to all pupils in the school who enjoy singing, with separate lunchtime sessions for different year groups. Pupils are welcome to join and participate for the entire year. The Junior School Choir will perform in concerts throughout the year. Rehearsals are weekly.

Throughout the term, children take part in a variety of hands-on coding projects that spark creativity and problem-solving skills, helping them build confidence and a deeper understanding of technology.
Creative Writing In Creative Writing club, imagination takes centre stage. Each week, pupils will respond to exciting prompts, develop engaging characters, and bring their ideas to life through vivid, descriptive storytelling. The club offers a fun and supportive environment where pupils can share their ideas, learn new writing techniques and build confidence in their creative expression.
Dance
Pupils in Form 1 and Upper 1 with a passion for dance are invited to join the Dance club. Led by a specialist teacher from Marble Hill Dance studio, pupils will have the chance to explore a variety of dance styles and develop routines, performing at events throughout the year. No prior experience is required, just an enthusiasm for dance!

Each week, pupils tackle a new and engaging topic, exploring different perspectives while building essential skills in public speaking, critical thinking, and teamwork. In a supportive and dynamic environment, students learn to express their ideas clearly, listen respectfully to others, and confidently defend their opinions. Whether you’re bursting with ideas or just beginning to find your voice, this club offers a fun and welcoming space to grow in confidence — one debate at a time.
Drama Drama clubs are available for all year groups, giving every pupil the opportunity to develop confidence for the stage. Pupils will have the chance to explore acting, improvisation, and storytelling in a fun and supportive setting. Through games, group activities, and short performances, students build confidence, develop their creativity, and learn how to express themselves on stage.

Ecology Ecology club explores the natural world around us, both within our school grounds and beyond. Across the term, pupils will study local habitats such as the pond and stream, and learn how animals and trees prepare for winter, creating simple shelters and feeders to support wildlife. They will carry out practical investigations like measuring rainfall and collecting data, as well as creating art using natural materials. Alongside this, pupils will learn about global food chains and ecosystems, developing an understanding of how living things are connected and why maintaining balance is important. A great club for curious learners and those who enjoy science, nature and hands-on activities.
German German Club offers pupils an exciting introduction to the language. Through lively, play based activities—including music, games, simple conversations, role‑play and cultural exploration— pupils will experience German in a fun and accessible way. The club introduces core vocabulary and everyday phrases while strengthening key language learning habits such as listening carefully, recognising patterns and experimenting with pronunciation.
Gym
Lunchtime gym clubs are open to certain year groups on different days. Led by our specialist gymnastics coach, pupils will refine their skills and learn new ones. Our young gymnasts will work in pairs and groups to learn collaboration and performance skills too, building up to more complex and challenging skills!

Musical Theatre
Musical Theatre club is an excellent opportunity to explore creativity through singing, dancing and acting. Through our various lunchtime Musical Theatre clubs, pupils will towards an end of year production, learnbing a variety of performance skills and developing their confidence and expression.

Netball Lunchtime netball clubs are open to Form 1 and Upper 1 pupils during specified sessions. All pupils are welcome to come and improve their netball skills. All sessions are designed to help to improve pupils’ fitness levels, games awareness and experience competition.
Origami Origami club will be a place where a simple piece of paper transforms into a world of creativity. From making butterflies to frogs, the children will learn fun folding techniques, developing their fine motor skills, while boosting patience, focus, and confidence, and all of this one fold at a time. All levels of experience are welcome.

Rock Star This is music-making in a more contemporary style for all those budding rock stars. Rehearsals for the different groups are on Thursday lunchtimes in the music room depending on which group a pupil has been allocated to. All instrumentalists, grade 2 and above, are invited to join.

Running Fun on the run! Running club is a great way for pupils to stay active, build stamina and enjoy exercise in a fun and supportive environment. Through a variety of challenges and running activities, pupils will develop their fitness, speed, and endurance. The club also encourages perseverance, goal-setting and teamwork, helping children to build confidence while enjoying the benefits of being outdoors and physically active.
Spanish Spanish club invites pupils to discover the excitement of learning a new language through engaging, play-based activities. Each session blends games, songs, simple conversations and cultural exploration to help children build key vocabulary and develop early speaking and listening skills with confidence. Designed to be both fun and enriching, the club introduces Spanish in a lively, accessible way, encouraging curiosity and laying strong foundations for future language learning.
lunchtime clubs STEM STEM club is open to Form 1 and Upper 1 pupils. Pupils will explore a range of challenges and activities in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Activities will often be hands-on and will involve working with others to solve problems. STEM club will be run for the whole term by our Sixth Form STEM Ambassadors.

Lunchtime Development squad is an invite only club for pupils in Upper 1, Lower 2 and Upper 2. Symphony Orchestra Symphony Orchestra is open to all pupils of grade 3 standard and above on an orchestral instrument (not piano or guitar). Pupils are invited to join and participate for the whole year. Symphony Orchestra will perform in concerts through the year. Rehearsals are weekly.
Tag Rugby Tag rugby is a fun, fast-paced, non-contact version of rugby that’s ideal for all ages and a great introduction to the sport. Children will take part in games and activities while developing key skills such as passing, positioning, teamwork and communication in a supportive and active environment.
lunchtime clubs Touch Typing Touch Typing offers pupils the chance to improve their typing speed and accuracy in a relaxed setting. Pupils can come along at any time to practise using fun, interactive exercises designed to build confidence and efficiency at the keyboard. Pupils do not need to book in advance for this club. There is a limit of 24 computers, so admission will be on a first come, first served basis.
Traditional Games Specially designed for Form 1 pupils, Traditional Games club helps our newest pupils settle into the school environment and forge friendships through fun and engaging activities. This club will help pupils develop their own repertoir of games, creating bonds with other children, building confidence and develping important social skills.
Training Orchestra Training Orchestra is for pupils who play an orchestral instrument (not piano or guitar) and are not yet at grade 3 standard. This ensemble will prepare pupils for entry to Symphony Orchestra with other pupils selected from Symphony Orchestra to act as their mentors. Rehearsals are weekly.

Through fun and engaging sessions, pupils learn simple ways to manage stress using movement, body awareness, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques. The club promotes a sense of belonging in a calm, noncompetitive environment, helping to build concentration, confidence and a positive self-image. Activities are delivered in a creative and enjoyable way, with games and individual challenges to keep children motivated and engaged.
Zentangle Zentangle club is a fun and friendly space where pupils can enjoy the art of doodling. Each week, we explore simple patterns to create unique and interesting designs. The club also offers a relaxed atmosphere to chat with friends while creating together.

After school clubs Art for Wellbeing Come and join our Art for Wellbeing club, where you can relax, have fun, and be creative in your own way! This club isn’t about being the best artist – it’s about enjoying art, expressing your feelings, and trying out exciting activities like painting, drawing, and crafting with friends in an informal and unstructured setting. There’s no pressure to make something perfect – just come along, have a go, and let your imagination shine while we create a calm and happy space together. We’d love to see you there!

Cookery
Cookery club is run by Kiddy Cook who inspire young people to have fun with food and help them make informed choices towards a healthy lifestyle. Each week, children will make a dish from scratch to take home along with a recipe card enabling them to recreate their masterpieces time and time again! Classes last for 1 hour and are booked in blocks per school term. Each block will consist of both sweet and savoury dishes but will always follow the principles of healthy eating.

Digital Dreamers Unlock your creativity with Digital Dreamers, our exciting after school computing club! Pupils explore the world of technology through fun, hands-on activities which could include coding or animation. Pupils develop skills and confidence using technology in imaginative ways.

Football and Outdoor Games In the first part of the Autumn term, pupils will embrace the world of football. Through supportive coaching, pupils will develop fundamental skills such as passing, moving into space, as well as game related activities. This club will focus on pupils’ understanding of game situations, co-ordination and body control. After the half term break, this becomes Outdoor Games club. Pupils will enjoy a range of outdoor games, with a varied, fun programme of activities suited to the winter months.

Gardening takes place after school until half term. Using the gardens around the school, pupils have fun learning about growing plants. Activities include: planting seeds of flowering plants and vegetables, nurturing them, discovering the trees and plants in the school grounds, watching the changes in the seasons and discovering the effects on plants, having fun in our outdoor spaces.
