Competition Format

• The Da Nang Sixes is a pairs competition, with pairings open to any combination of men and/or women. If you don’t have a playing partner, we’re happy to find you one.

• In the daily draws, you play with your partner in three of the six rounds and then we will mix you up.

• You play your own individual game using the PaR nz Points system, with handicaps adjusted daily, ensuring a fair and competitive format throughout the week.

• Your best five of six rounds will count to your overall pairs total.

• Yes, we have fun daily prizes as well and an overall winning pair.

• Maximum course starting handicaps apply – 28 for men and 36 for women.

Da Nang – Norman Course

Two nines make up this golfing challenge by the Great White Shark; the Dunes and Ocean courses. The course is predominantly an open layout with undulating terrain, a few slopes to climb and features blown out bunkers. The greens have always been known to be fast and firm with fairways lined with seaside vegetation, rugged dunes and waste – all adding up to be a tough but great test of golf. The back nine gives some impressive views of the East Vietnam Sea – especially the par-3 16th that is flanked by old gun bunkers from the Vietnam War days. Since opening, the Norman course was voted 15th best new course by USA Golf Magazine and has won best golf course Asia and Vietnam numerous times.

BRG Legends Da Nang, Norman Course

Ba Na Hills has been transformed into one of the area’s top 18-hole championship course designed by the winning 2023 Ryder Cup European Captain, Luke Donald. Ba Na Hills was Donald’s first foray into golf design and by all accounts, a winner. The course is designed around the foothills of the jungle-clad

Ba Na Hills mountain range with memorable features like the impressive grass faced bunkers and stunning scenery from many holes. The front nine is a parkland design, somewhat flatter than the winding back nine that twists and turns around the hillside. Water comes into play on the back nine with the par-3 16th plunging downhill stated as the signature challenge. 20 –29 March 2027

Da Nang Sixes 2027, Vietnam

Opening with nine holes in 2018 with a further nine in 2020, the course developed by Nicklaus Design is included in the BRG Legends Da Nang lineup.

In contrast to the Norman course, the Nicklaus Design team has created a masterpiece in and out of swamps and paddy fields. Holes line the Coco river with views back to Da Nang, interconnecting lakes and creeks, all add up to what some say have a ‘Floridian’ feel. In fact, many of the materials used in the build were imported from the USA. While water has to be navigated on many holes, the fairways are wide with typical Nicklaus ‘risk & reward’ options.

Faldo’s course has been rated as high as 4th best in Vietnam. The course lies between the East Vietnam Sea and the coastal mountain range which is extensively jungle clad. The course has an interesting array of six natural habitats to navigate through including water, rice paddies, woodlands, dune lands, jungle and beaches with sandy ‘blowouts’ to bring you home to the 19th. While essentially seaside you only really see the sea on the 9th and 10th holes – both par 4s. The course is named after the nearby village of Lang Co sandwiched between the Lap An Lagoon and the sea on a peninsula known for its seafood stalls and long white sandy beaches.

Vinpearl Golf Nam Hoi An is a stunning coastal course designed by IMG and opened in 2018. Located within the impressive Vinpearl Nam Hoi An integrated resort development in Hoi An, the course is part of a mega-project that includes luxury hotels, entertainment centres, and future golf facilities. This championship course offers an enjoyable challenge for golfers featuring wide, generous fairways lined with casuarina pines, strategically placed bunkers, creative wasteland bunkering and a relatively flat terrain, making the course easy to navigate.

In 2020 PaR nz was one of the first international groups to have the privilege of playing this masterpiece directly after it opened –and it’s a stunner! It was the first Robert Trent Jones Jnr project in Vietnam. Hoiana Shores ticks all the links course boxes – rolling dunes, close to the sea and subject to sea breezes. The course has two distinct nine-hole loops with very little water to worry about. Six holes are located directly adjacent to the beach giving great coastal views of the sea and Cham Islands. Our Host City Da Nang

Our host city, Da Nang, is a vibrant coastal destination on the east coast of central Vietnam. Its history stretches back to 192 AD, when it was part of the ancient Champa Kingdom.

Over the centuries, Da Nang has been influenced by Portuguese explorers and later French colonial culture – influences that remain visible today in its architecture, cuisine, and traditions.

During the Vietnam War (1955–1975), Da Nang Airport served as a major air base for South Vietnamese and American forces.

Remnants of this history remain part of the city’s story.

Today, Da Nang is Vietnam’s third-largest city, after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Famous for its long sandy beaches, the city is beautifully positioned between the Truong Son Mountains (Annamite Range), the Son Tra Peninsula, and the East Sea. Spectacular views of these landscapes can be enjoyed from several of the tournament’s golf courses.

We begin our 2027 Da Nang Sixes with a welcome Asian-fusion Vietnamese feast at our host hotel, the elegant 5-star Da Nang Marriott Resort & Spa.

Set along Non Nuoc Beach, once recognised by Forbes as one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, this stunning resort blends French-Indochine design with contemporary luxury with rooms overlooking tranquil gardens or the sea.

The resort will be a literal playground for our group of golfers with a choice of multiple swimming pools set beside golden sand beaches, world-class spa facilities including a Himalayan salt room, a collection of casual and formal dining restaurants and a beach hut to sit and enjoy a beer and spring roll each day. The resort provides all the elements to relax and unwind during our first six nights of the tour.

Visit to Hoi An

Designed by Greg Norman and opened in 2010, the Norman Course at BRG Legends Da Nang Golf Resort delivers a true links-style challenge along Vietnam’s spectacular central coastline.

After golf, we travel to the charming riverside town of Hoi An, where you can join an optional walking tour through the lantern-lit streets of this beautifully preserved heritage town, often known as the “City of Lanterns”.

Hoi An Ancient Town

Hoi An’s Old Town is an exceptionally well-preserved example of an Asian trading port dating from the 15th to 19th centuries. Its charming streets, historic buildings and riverside setting reflect a unique blend of Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese and European influences formed during centuries of international trade.

By the 17th century, Hoi An had become one of the region’s most important commercial ports, attracting merchants from across Asia and beyond. Distinct Chinese and Japanese quarters developed, creating vibrant communities that shaped the town’s cultural identity. Remarkably, despite wars and natural disasters, Hoi An’s historic architecture and traditions have remained beautifully intact. Today the town is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, celebrated for its lantern-lit streets, colourful heritage buildings and timeless atmosphere. And of course, a great shopping and restaurant destination.

One of the most photographed landmarks is the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge, a beautiful 16th–17th century structure that has become a symbol of the town.

Visit to the Golden Bridge

Experience a golfing adventure like no other at Ba Na Hills Golf Club, an 18-hole championship course designed in 2016 by Luke Donald – his first foray into course design, and widely celebrated as a success with its No.3 ranking in Vietnam.

Included in your tour is a visit to the iconic Golden Bridge, suspended 1,487m above sea level and seemingly held aloft by a giant pair of hands – a sight that truly must be seen in person to be appreciated.

Ba Na Hills began in 1919 as a French hill station and resort, established by Captain Debay, and has grown into a stunning recreational and cultural centre. Highlights include the Linh Ung Pagoda, a giant Buddha statue, five scenic cable car routes, and the French Village, a charming recreation of classical European streets, squares, and inns earning the nickname “heaven on earth”.

From 2015 to 2018, Sun World Ba Na Hills was recognised as the Top Tourist Resort of Vietnam, while the Golden Bridge itself was named one of TIME Magazine’s Top 10 Best Destinations of the World in 2018 and hailed by The Guardian as “the world’s most impressive pedestrian bridge”.

Visit to My Son Sanctuary Day Sightseeing & Lunch Included

After a leisurely morning, we explore the ancient My Son Sanctuary, a remarkable complex of Hindu temples dating from the 4th to 13th centuries CE. Nestled in the mountainous Duy Xuyen District, this UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a vivid glimpse into the spiritual and political life of the Champa Kingdom, an important civilization in Southeast Asia.

Discovered by the French while surveying a telegram line between South and Central Vietnam, the site was named “My Son”, meaning “beautiful mountain”, after a nearby village. Excavation and preservation work over decades has revealed an unparalleled architectural ensemble, showcasing centuries of craftsmanship, artistry, and cultural significance. Marvel at the intricate stone carvings, ancient towers and unique temple layouts, making My Son an unforgettable historical and cultural experience. Lunch in Hoi An is included today as we return to the hotel mid-afternoon.

Day 5: Wednesday 24 March

Golf at Laguna Golf Lang Co

Designed by Nick Faldo and opened in 2013, Laguna Golf Lang Co has been ranked among the top golf courses in Vietnam. The course takes its name from the nearby fishing village of Lang Co, a narrow peninsula set between the Lap An Lagoon and the East Vietnam Sea, known for its seafood stalls and long white sandy beaches.

Basket Boat Ride and a Vietnamese Cooking School

We spend the morning taking a ride in a traditional Vietnamese Fishing Basket through the mangrove waterways of the Bay Mau Coconut Forest. Try your hand at catching fish and crabs and learn how to set the boats into a thrilling spin!

We then travel to the award-winning Tra Que Organic Vegetable Village near Hoi An. This charming farming community is famous for its fragrant herbs and traditional organic growing methods.

Here you’ll discover the secrets of Vietnamese ingredients and cooking techniques, preparing your own lunch under the guidance of TV chef and local personality Nguyen Thu Huong. After enjoying the meal and drinks together, we transfer to our next hotel, the luxurious New World Hoiana Beach Resort, where we stay for our final three nights.

April 2026: With the uncertainty around fuel costs, the prices are fluid and whilst reservations are held until the due date of the final invoice, repricing may be necessary due to sudden fuel surcharges imposed by suppliers in exceptional circumstances. • 2nd payment: USD$1500 per person due before 1 July 2026, nonrefundable.

• Final payment: Due before 1 December 2026. This payment is non-refundable.

• The tour, is priced in USD$ to accommodate fluctuations in exchange rates.

• All payments are non-refundable, and dates are nontransferable; so, we strongly advise all PaR nz travellers to take out travel insurance in the event they are unable to travel.

• Guide, driver tips of USD$100 per person will be collected in cash at the start of the tour

• No refunds are available for unused portions during the tour programme
