Officers & Directors Spring Conference 2026

Page 1

Welcome to the KBA Officers & Directors Spring Conference 2026

This year, we’ve doubled down on what worked in 2025, focusing squarely on your esteemed officers and directors. The folks who set the direction of your bank. The ones regulators are paying closer attention to than ever before. And the ones who, when properly equipped, make all the difference between a bank that merely survives the next regulatory cycle... and one that thrives through the entire ordeal.

Make no mistake, the regulatory landscape isn’t getting any simpler. We’re watching the GENIUS Act roll out with stablecoin loopholes wide enough to drive billions in deposits straight out of community banks. The SBA quietly stripped the 5% investment rule from the 7(a) program, and we’re still waiting for them to come to their senses. The DIF conversation continues. And on the state level, our friends at the credit unions are once again angling for public deposits while paying no income tax. ZERO. You can’t make this stuff up.

That’s the world your board is being asked to navigate. And that’s exactly why we built this program. Over the next three days, you’ll hear directly from regulators, examiners, and industry experts who can help you understand what’s coming and how to prepare for it. You’ll earn 9.75 CRCM and CERP continuing education credits. You’ll receive a KBA Certificate of Completion to show regulators that your institution takes board education seriously. And you’ll walk away with the kind of insight that actually moves the needle when you get back home.

Officers & Directors Spring Conference also kicks off the KBA’s full event circuit for the year. Next up, we head out across the Commonwealth for Group Meetings. We’ll also be hosting our Women in Banking Conference right here in Louisville. Fraud Academy continues to grow in size and influence, because the bad guys are on the move and we intend to stay a step ahead of them. And it all builds toward our Annual Convention this year at the historic Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C., hosted during the 250th Anniversary year of the USA! The timing couldn’t be more perfect. Registration is extremely limited given the location, so if you want to be part of something special, let us know as soon as you can.

For now, enjoy your weekend in beautiful downtown Louisville. Take advantage of the speakers, the conversations, the exhibitors, and yes, the networking and a little bourbon. When in Rome...

Thank you for being here, and thank you for everything you do for your communities across the bluegrass. Enjoy your time with us as we navigate the rough waters of boardroom compliance together!
