jonka kevät heitti hänen eteensä.
1 Once again the green washed over the soil and his hands grew at every task spring trew at him.

1 I put the banana in my basket and was already heading to the checkout when I saw roasted chickens at the grill counter. The fat was sizzling deliciously.2 I thought the man would be happy to have some chicken.3 But Jesus said in a strict tone, “The banana is enough. Don’t buy anything else.”4 Still, I bought the chicken and a large bottle of Jaffa and carried them in plastic bags to the man. 5 He was pleased with the bag — pleased, but slightly confused.6 On the way home, Jesus spoke to me for the third time and said…

1 It was supposed to be just the banana. 2 Jesus said that he had specifically forbidden me from buying chicken or anything else. 3 Then he used a swear word and spoke harshly in other ways as well. 4 After that, I never heard from him again. 5 At home, I got into an argument with my wife about something. 6 I think that was when things started to go badly wrong for me.

1 I have always wondered what would happen when death finally came to take me away forever.

1 Recently, after the death of my uncle Herbert and his funeral, 2 I had an urge 3 to ask my mama. 4“My sweet angel, would you like a little snack?” “Why, yes, Mama.” “Perhaps a carrot?” “Scrumptious.”

1 I was munching and finally found the right words. “Mama…” “Yes,

Well… perhaps it’s time you finally knew. It is in our scriptures, in the Word of Laporidae Xinconius. I was just a girl when I learned it.

You

1 And then, Xinconius willing, he will return to us, transformed. 2 You mean… reborn? 3 Yes, dear, sweet Gideon… when the time comes…” Ding dong. 4 Oh my — could it be?”

1 Often, I wouldn’t even want to wake up and would wish my dreams could last forever. 2 You’ve appeared in my dreams often since our paths parted. 3 Those moments have kept you on my mind. 4 I don’t think it’s a coincidence that we’re meeting here now.

2 I had to bring my sister’s dog to work with me. I’m looking after him for a few days. 3 I had no choice but to bring him since I have a lot of work today.

was kind of hoping you’d be here today. I know you like dogs and that their company isn’t a problem for you.

hope that dreams might become reality.5 A person has nothing when only dreams bring hope. 6 There has to be something more to life than this.

1 I still wish that… 2 Even the sewer feels like home, my new roommates.

1 I was going to take a train to sketch somewhere far away, but it started raining heavily, so I gave up. Still, why is it that we only feel like drawing when we go to some “special” place? Work has been so exhausting this year. I really want to travel abroad as soon as possible. 2 Sketching is a process of selection: the artist chooses what to draw from what is in front of them. Since it’s impossible to draw everything, what we see is different every time. I like traveling in depth. I can visit the same country again and again, collecting all its cities. Haha. 3 So even when the scenery is the same, once you draw it again, the artist has to choose what they see all over again. Or rather, every time you put the pencil down and then look up, the scenery is already different. I want to travel around the world, to many different places. 4 When you’re drawing, every second is precious. The scenery changes with time, and the hand can never keep up with the eyes. At a certain moment—just a moment—it’s so beautiful. A beauty that no screen can reproduce, existing only as a fleeting image in the human mind. Could you stay for me, just a little longer?

1 Last night, as I went to sleep, 2 I felt myself split into two. 3 Each half became someone new. 4 Half of me drifted into the underworld, 5 the other toward the sky. 6 Half of me woke up today 7 the other half has died.
