Koolhaas’ architecture is reactive to architectural trends in addressing modernity and globalization. His work embraces dynamism, complexity, and contradiction - of which is explored through each unique context.
e.g. CCTV HQ | Beijing, China | defying gravity and critiquing conventional “modern” skyscrapers

• Highly secured yet thin and transparent
• Spatially innovative through the “trajectory,” which is a circulatory datum that governs space and geometry
• Deploys double façade system of glass and metal screens
PROGRAM: ~4800sqft “DESIGN PAVILION” for CAPPA NORTH that celebrates work and style of precedent architect.
The main spaces provided are two design studios , an interior gallery , and exterior display/gathering spaces.
Other supplementary spaces are restroom facilities, an administration office, and storage rooms.



“TRAJECTORIES: CAPPA NORTH” will elevate the studio and gallery experience through its circulation , materiality , and spatial configuration .
The key element, the “ trajectory ,” is circulation that prescribes how one navigates between the ‘private and public’ within the program.
Passive design is addressed for sustainability while nature is provided as spaces to convene with others or seclude oneself.
