incentives to lure nurse practitioners to the region. And there’s already been queries from nurse practitioners about possibly working in the county. Scott Ovell, the county’s economic development director, outlined the
revised physician recruitment policy for council during its Sept. 11 meeting. The revisions incorporated increased support for the recruitment of nurse practitioners (NPs) that will lead to the provision of better health care for the residents of and visitors to Haliburton County.
