Minden Hills talks fees for services by JAMES MATTHEWS

Times Staff

Minden Hills council may have sounded the death knell for an annual craft sale in the

township. For at least the second year, rental rates have increased for use of the community centre. Minden Hills resident Diane Peacock gets the Christmas Craft Sale up and running each

year at the community centre. She told council when it met Sept. 12 that another increase in the rental fee would be detrimental to an event that’s anticipated by many people. “Minden Hills council, you are going to be killing your rentals again for the community

centre by upping the prices,” she said. “To rent rooms 1 and 2 will be over $400 now. I’m going to say right now, definitely in 2025 there will not be a Christmas craft sale at Minden Community Centre.” see CRAFT page 2
