The results of the Municipality of Dysart et al’s public survey on the shoreline
protections policy were released during a special meeting of council. The municipality hosted an open house on July 8, where council and the public were presented with a staff report and the results of the public survey that was con-
ducted from May 15 to June 20. The intent of the survey was to gauge the public of the municipality’s proposed changes to the shoreline protection policies of the Municipal Official Plan and Zoning Bylaw.
The municipality is proposing updates to the shoreline protection policies to permit one building near the shoreline of a body of water. Current setbacks are 20 to 30 metres. Director of planning and land see PUBLIC page 16
