On Saturday 30th September we will be opening our door to prospective parents and students at the amazing school that I already feel so proud of. Year 6 Open Morning is an opportunity for us to show off our wonderful school, staff and students to a new group of people and let them see for themselves the wonderful community we have built. In the last bulletin I mentioned how incredibly proud we are of the start our students have made this year and many of them have been invited to support us during Open Morning. Next week we will also be offering Year 6 Open Morning tours from MondayThursday 9.00am-10.00am.
It will be unusual for our prospective parents and students to see a school with such significant building work taking place. You may have seen the progress for yourselves in recent days with phase 1 well on its way to completion on 4 th October. We hope to have this building fully operational w/c 9 th October which means we will be able to accommodate another year group back into school. For a reminder of the current hybrid home learning and onsite rota please click here. It was great to welcome the parents and carers of Year 11 to Parents Evening this week. We had an excellent turnout and I’m sure that there were plenty of meaningful academic conversations that took place. It was also a great chance for those parents to have a look at the new buildings! Thank you to the vast majority of students who have attended school in their full uniform. These students look exemplary and are taking great pride in wearing our uniform with the Roding Valley badge. It is encouraging to receive messages from our local community commenting on how well dressed and professional our students look, and how well they are representing us in the local area. I shared my thoughts on the importance of uniform a few weeks ago and have noticed a transformation across the school since then. If you are having difficulty in replacing any part of the uniform, please get in touch with your Year Progress Leader who will be able to facilitate replacement items for your child.
