nd 20pts 3532
I am delighted to share several important updates from Roding Valley High School this month. Our new Year 7 and Year 12 students have settled in exceptionally well, and I want to extend my sincere gratitude to all parents and carers for your ongoing support and communication. Your involvement has made a significant difference during this time of substantial change for our young people.

I'm pleased to report that our 'new building' refurbishment is progressing ahead of schedule. We anticipate completing the work by the end of March, with a phased return planned thereafter. We will simultaneously begin removing temporary classrooms, the temporary kitchen and catering facilities, and site hoarding. We are particularly excited about finally having access to the new facilities, which will include state-of-the-art IT suites, art and photography rooms, a new kitchen, catering facilities, and enhanced maths department spaces. I will share further details with you closer to the time. Our extra-curricular timetable is now available to view on the school website here, offering a wide range of engaging activities for our students. We have 65 free lunch and after school clubs - so please encourage your children to see what they might be interested in and which clubs they want to join.

Earlier this week around 40 students joined a residential trip to France, where they demonstrated exceptional behaviour and represented Roding Valley with true pride. It was a wonderful experience for both staff and students. Thank you to all staff who helped facilitate this trip. Important upcoming events include our Open Day this Saturday, 27th September, and parental tours scheduled Tuesday through Thursday next week from 9:15am - 10:15am. I extend my thanks to the hundreds of student volunteers supporting these events. In addition to this, on Saturday 4th October between 6:00pm – 9:00pm we host the inaugural Silent Outdoor Cinema. The first film that will be shown is ‘Coco’. Please join us for what promises to be a brilliant first for us at Roding!
