Exam season is upon us and I want to wish all students who are taking public examinations the very best during this period. We know how hard our students have been working and we would also like to thank parents/carers for their support. If you have any questions or queries, please contact your child’s Academic Mentor or YPL who will be able to guide and support you. We wanted to take this opportunity to re-share two very important letters that were shared with parents of year 11 & parents of year 13. These letters contain all of the information needed during the exam period and beyond. You will find all of the May half term sessions on offer and a link to our student examination handbook. It’s not just our Year 11 and 13 cohorts that have been busy preparing for examinations. Our Year 12 cohort are in the midst of their ‘Progression PPEs’ and this week have been studying hard at home. We also have a small number of year 12 students sitting public examinations and of course we wish them the very best. We look forward to welcoming them back to school full time from Monday, where they will be in timetabled lessons apart from when they’re sitting an exam. These PPEs will be incredibly useful for our students to get a full understanding of how well they have progressed and what gaps they need to close as they embark on their final year in our 6th form. Our Year 10s have also been busy revising and preparing for their upcoming examinations. Their exams begin w/c 17th June and Ms Wills will be writing to all parents/ carers very soon about how to prepare at home and what the examination arrangements will be. In the meantime, I know that our teachers are busy navigating the students and ensuring that they are ready to go next month.
