OUR CHICAGO NORTH SHORE STUDIO KRISTIN MILITO PHOTOGRAPHY is a boutique photography studio serving clients in and around Chicago and as far as western Michigan, Wisconsin, and northern Indiana. Maternity, newborn, baby, cake-smash and family sessions are offered in our private Glenview studio. We also shoot in your home or on location, outdoors. We have a wardrobe of gowns and dresses for maternity & motherhood portraits. Hair and makeup is included to make sure you feel and look incredible! THE PORTRAIT EXPERIENCE WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR CUSTOM PORTRAIT SESSION
AFTER your session The Ordering session is immediately scheduled for 1-2 weeks after your session. The in-person or Zoom Ordering Appointment provides the opportunity to review and choose your favorite images. At the end of your Ordering session, your digital images will be delivered immediately via USB or digital gallery. Custom prints and artwork will be ordered and conveniently shipped directly to your home.
BEFORE your session Submit a short questionnaire, the session agreement and session deposit. Pre-session studio or phone consultation to design every detail of your session. Two days prior to your session you will receive an appointment confirmation via email. 6

COORDINATE colors Clothing choices are an integral part of the final prints. For that reason, I outline a few items to consider when selecting outfits. Coordinated colors photograph beautifully. Consider selecting a palette of 1-2 coordinating colors and select outfits within the palette for each person. Neutrals, beiges and creams are lovely choices and allow for emotions and expressions to stand out. You will be given my carefully selected Clothing Board to help style your family in a timeless and elegant manner. 8

BE TRUE TO YOU When choosing attire for the photo session, it's important to feel comfortable and confident in what you wear, as this authenticity will shine through in the photographs. Rather than conforming to trends or styles that may feel unfamiliar or uncomfortable, opt for pieces that you naturally gravitate towards and that make you feel like yourselves. By embracing your personal style, we ensure that the images captured are not only visually appealing but also deeply meaningful, reflecting who you are as a family.
ADD SOME layers Layering sweaters, jackets, and scarves is an easy and natural way to give depth and texture to your images. This technique not only adds visual interest but also enhances the overall mood and style of your photographs. While it is fun to play with accessories, we will choose the perfect ones to ensure a balance between accessorizing and maintaining the focus on your family's cohesive look and the timeless quality of the clothing. 10

THE NIGHT BEFORE The studio will be heated to keep baby comfortable and cozy and you may get very warm. It is best for you to come dressed in layers. Make sure not to leave home without packing a pacifier and a bottle with extra milk or formula. Days prior to your session, you will receive prep instructions from me to precisely follow the morning of your session. This helps coax baby into a sweet sleep that allows me to create some great poses.
We also have a complimentary coffee bar, snacks and drinks for you to enjoy during your session. 13
SESSION SUCCESS TIPS SIT BACK and RELAX
During the session, please sit back and relax. It's often a natural instinct to want to convince your child to smile by asking him/her to "say cheese" or by doing something silly.
BREAK TIMES
I pride myself on engaging with your kids in a way that elicits a natural and emotive response. It tends to work best if parents stay back (so long as you & your child are comfortable) to allow me to work one-on-one with your child.
If your baby or child becomes restless at any point during the session, please know that it is not uncommon for me to set down my camera and soothe baby or play with your child for a few minutes. These breaks are already incorporated into your session time with us! Not to worry, these times are well used and Kristin ensures your baby and little ones will settle down with ease.

Affirm allows you to buy now, pay later (as you choose), interest free upon credit approval, and receive your images the same day of your Reveal session. (No waiting for your images.) IN HOUSE PAYMENT PLANS: We offer in house payment plans up to 4 months and images and products are delivered once paid in full.
