The most important after care intervention for care leavers is to support them with shared accommodation arrangements. This study explored different options of shared living arrangements availed by care leavers of Rainbow, their real-life experiences/challenges in different accommodations and mechanisms devised by the teams to address those challenges. It also documented after care practices & accommodation arrangements, challenges in the transition process of 8 selected NGOs across 4 sample cities-Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kolkata & Delhi. Based on these, it suggests good practices & guidelines for successful interventions of post-transition independent living.
