Kitchen
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 stipulates that by law the person responsible for the business premise must carry out a re risk assessment and implement and maintain a re management plan. Putting in place regular kitchen duct and ventilation cleaning will help to satisfy this law and remove the most common cause of res within the kitchen.
The Building & Engineering Services Association (B&ES) TR/19 Standards provide recommendations on service intervals for kitchen duct cleaning (see table below).
Many insurance companies are now stipulating that an accredited company must carry out ventilation cleaning in order to validate insurance polices. We would recommend all clients liaise with their insurers as to the required cleaning intervals detailed in their insurance policy.

Chewing gum removal
Chewing gum outside any building is unsightly and detracts from the outward appearance of any property, entrance or walkway. Thistle Fm utilise the most up to date, eco friendly steam removal system that heats chewing gum deposits and injects a citrus based solution that dissolves the chewing gum entirely.
This modern solution to an age old problem works on any surfaces including, tarmac, concrete, monobloc and tiled surfaces.
High level cleaning
Using either a powered or a rope access method, our high level cleaning services can be carried out both internally and externally. We undertake high level window cleaning up to 45ft from the ground. Our highly experienced and trained operatives are licensed to IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) standards for the use of MEWPs (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms).
Thistle Fm also clean at height the inside of buildings, o ces and factories, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitising all types of surfaces. Prior to any work being carried out, we will issue our clients with a comprehensive Risk Assessment and Method Statement strategy. This is developed at survey stage.
