People remark that I have "intense eyes." This is by design, my dear. I can tell what you're thinking at all times—and with the power of scrumptious treats, I can persuade you to do my bidding.
This is precisely why I take a morning walkabout through the KONG office. Desk by desk, treat by treat, my powers grow stronger. Mom says it's like watching a child trick-or-treat on Halloween. I find this preposterous. Children want candy. I need treats to sustain my psychic abilities. Perhaps on Halloween, I should "persuade" each house to hand out KONG Snacks instead.
"Throw my Flyer," "chase me," "give me more treats," "you are now my best friend." These are merely a few of the commands I beam into the minds of those within my psychic range.
With enough treats and a magical KONG Tug, I am granted the power of levitation. With one end of the Tug toy in my mouth, I utter the ancient growl, and Mom knows the ritual has begun. I'm now ready to be released from my earthly tethers.
Mom will pick up the other end of the Tug and spin me around until my paws are lifted from the ground. I cannot be suspended for more than a few seconds, but with enough practice (and treats), I will soon fly freely through the air like a bird. "Birdie" is not just my name; it is my destiny.
I do not yet understand the mystical power the KONG Tug possesses, but it is incredibly strong and resilient. I know it to be crafted from KONG natural rubber, enchanted by powerful wizards. How else would it spring back into shape after being stretched a tremendous distance? My neighbor/apprentice, Hobbes, and I have attempted to find its limit many times to no avail.
I must be left to further study this relic. Give me a treat before you go?
