Cats are natural hunters, hardwired by their wild ancestors. That’s why the little red dot is so enticing—it mimics prey. Hunting follows a natural sequence called a fixed action pattern: stalk, chase, pounce, capture, and consume.
With laser play, the final step—capture and consume—is missing. Without closure, cats can become frustrated or anxious. To keep laser play enriching, let the light “land” on a treat (i.e. Nibbies) every so often, so your cat can complete the cycle.

Holiday 2021 Snuzzles Santa? Of course I have it. Snuzzles Koala? Duh.
As you may or may not know, I am the world’s leading Snuzzles expert, collector, and (unofficial) ambassador. There is not a Snuzzles I haven’t snuggled, not a Snuzzles squeak I have not “squoke,” nor a character missing from my extensive collection.
Spring 2023 Snuzzles Chick? How could I not?
Cat Snuzzles Mouse? ...Ehhhh, it’s not for me. But no shame if you’re into that sort of thing. I’m slow to warm up to strangers, but when Mom hands me a new Snuzzles, it’s love at first squeak. Their full-body squeakers? They make me feel things. Sometimes I’ll boop it with my nose just for the heck of it. SQUEAK! HAH! Never gets old.
Anyway, not only do they have the best squeakers, their velvety-soft bodies make them the perfect naptime snuggle buddies. Mom says if they didn’t squeak, they’d make the best pillows. I disagree. They make great pillows because they squeak. The sounds they make as I lie my head down are like sweet lullabies. I sleep in just to get a few more precious moments with my plump-filled friends.
If you’re interested in beginning your very own Snuzzles collection, go for it! And don’t let anybody tell you that you own too many Snuzzles. Do you still have space in your toybox? Empty shelves in your closet? Room in your car’s glove compartment in case you forget your Snuzzles at home?

P.S. If you find the Holiday 2022 Snuzzles Penguin, please contact me immediately. I fell asleep mid-squeak, and when I woke up, it was gone. I suspect foul play. My so-called “bestie” Hippo is my prime suspect. I’ve already called my psychic friend Birdie for a full investigation.
