Kokua Spirit Newsletter April/May 2026- Vol. 22/Issue 4-5
It’s hard to believe that the year is already almost halfway over! How is it May already!? With summer upon us and warmer times ahead, there will be many fun things in and around Thurston County. I know everyone is looking forward to being outside more- I sure am We will be having some changes to our activities and the way we have been doing things. We would like to see more client/staff led things moving forward and will be working to help with this transition. We have already made the switch over to posting most of our activity stuff on social media and plan to continue this method of communication for events, activities, and local happenings. Please stay tuned for more information as we work out all the details. One last thing: It can be hard to remember how important the work we do is when we are so caught up in the day-to-day and the hustle of it all. So, if you have forgotten, here is your reminder: You matter and your work is changing lives!
Frieda had a visit from the Local Fire District 3 crew in Lacey and she was over the moon! A BIG Shout-out to Lily at Nepean for thinking of this and setting it up! Sometimes all it takes is a phone call to make your dreams come true... Also a BIG KOKUA THANK YOU, to the Lacey District 3 Crew for making Frieda’s day and bringing her such joy! Community matters and we are so grateful for not only this above and beyond gesture, but the hard work of our local fire crews, each and every day! Thank you for being part of our network, that makes the support we provide, possible.
