eLibraryUSA is a digital collection of trusted information resources from the United States with quality newspapers, magazines, journals, books, dissertations and award-winning films and videos from established database providers such as JSTOR, Proquest, PressReader, and Kanopy.
eLibraryUSA is centrally funded and managed by the Office of American Spaces and is available at no cost to U.S. embassies and consulates and their American Spaces.

The following individuals may apply for an individual eLibraryUSA account:



Current attendees of an American Space’s programs (in-person, hybrid, virtual) Current in-person visitors to an ECArecognized American Space. Members of an ECArecognized American Space (if there is a membership system)

Complete online training and earn a certificate Step 2
Agree to the eLibraryUSA terms of use Step 3

Register for an individual eLibraryUSA account



Attend an eLibraryUSA information session or learn more about eLibraryUSA resources at an American Space.
Complete an eLibraryUSA sign-up form by providing name and email address to the American Space Coordinator.

Look for an email invitation to take online training and register for an individual account.

Knowledge check activity
Quiz
Terms of Use agreement
Certificate of completion

In order to receive their training certificate and register for an individual eLibraryUSA account, users must agree to the terms of use emphasizing that accounts are for personal use only.




When the visitor/program attendee completes the training and receives a certificate of completion via email, they can apply for their own individual eLibraryUSA account. If their application is approved, they will receive an automated email with their login credentials.

The system will automatically require users to reset their passwords every six months in order to keep their accounts secure.

Accounts automatically expire after three years, users will need to re-apply.

The system will automatically send these notifications to account holders.
