Mobile Market
What does a community helping their community look like? Today we saw it at the library as we hosted Out of the Garden Project for a mobile food market! Volunteers locally as well as from Asheboro Latinxs Services , UNCG, and NC A&T came to provide 117 families with food. And thank you to Toyota for making up meal boxes that went to every person who attended.
. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting our efforts to

Christmas
Christmas, celebrated on December 25, marks the birth of Jesus Christ in Christian tradition, though the exact date of his birth is unknown. The holiday absorbed elements of earlier pagan festivals such as Saturnalia and Yule, which celebrated the winter solstice with feasts, gift-giving, and greenery. Early Christians adapted these customs to help spread Christianity in Europe. Christmas was not widely celebrated in early colonial America; in fact, the Puritans in New England banned it for a time. It gained popularity in the 19th century, especially with the publication of Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol and the emergence of Santa Claus as a popular figure. The modern image of Santa Claus was influenced by St. Nicholas, a 4thcentury bishop known for his generosity, and later shaped by 19th- and 20th-century American advertising. In 1870, Christmas became a federal holiday in the U.S. Today, it is celebrated with decorations, tree-lighting, religious services, and family gatherings. Though deeply rooted in Christian beliefs, Christmas has become a cultural holiday enjoyed by many regardless of religious background. It is one of the most widely observed holidays in the world.

North Carolina’s 21 Giant Trolls Road Trip takes you to see that state's 21 giant trolls at four magical stops! Each stop along this route is filled with massive wooden trolls…many built by Danish artist Thomas Dambo. You start at Dix Park in Raleigh, where five towering trolls hide in the fields and trees. In Charlotte, the River District features one mighty troll watching over the area. At Eno River Farm, three trolls bring a fun surprise to the trails and berry fields. Your trip ends in Asheville at the North Carolina Arboretum, the brand new home to twelve trolls tucked into the gardens, forest paths, and open spaces among the gardens here...made even more magical as six of the twelve can be found among the stunning Christmas lights display at the gardens!

A Great Day to Be a Liberty Bulldog:
November Food Drive Success
Randolph County School System
During the month of November, Liberty Elementary School's Service Club held a food drive. The Service Club collected and counted all the food brought in by Liberty Elementary School students. Over 1,500 items were donated! The Service Club voted to save some food items for the school food pantry and donate the rest to the town of Liberty's local food pantry. It was a very successful food drive and Liberty Elementary School is proud to make a difference in their community! It’s a Great Day to be a Liberty Bulldog!
Harvest House
We’re bringing back our traditional Christmas Buffet—open to the public and donation-only. All proceeds will support a local community member. More details coming soon!

We are super honored to open a small mental health practice in the heart of Liberty!
This lovely town holds a special place in our hearts — both myself (Jennifer) and Joanna Warren (Owner! And also locally grown) have deep ties to the area and are grateful for the opportunity to give back to this community. Our mission is to provide evidence-based, compassionate care to support emotional wellness and strengthen mental health in our community. We are therapists, not psychiatrists, and while we do not prescribe medication, we focus on providing high-quality therapy and counseling services. We accept BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, and WellCare Medicaid (Medicaid only). Beginning in February, we’ll also offer a reduced-fee option for those without insurance. A handful of additional counselors will also be joining us over the next few months!
