WELCOME FROM THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE

Welcome to the 2026 Kisharon Langdon Fundraising Dinner. It is an honour to gather as a community committed to ensuring that every person with learning disabilities and autistic people can thrive.

This past year has been extraordinary. Our day services have expanded from 26 sessions per month to over 140, providing more opportunities for learning, engagement, and friendship. In our supported living services, we now support 166 individuals across multiple locations, offering independence alongside tailored support. In education, 142 pupils and students benefit from seamless progression through nursery, school, and college. Our social enterprise and employment programmes give people meaningful work, skills,

and confidence, while our Friday Night Dinners bring over 70 attendees together, fostering inclusion and community.

To simply sustain these services, we need to raise £4.6 million this year. Every contribution, every act of support, enables our members to flourish. We could not do this without the generosity and commitment of our community.

Our vision is clear: to ensure every person with learning disabilities and autistic people can thrive in life. Our mission is to provide outstanding opportunities rooted in Jewish values, enabling people to live as independently as possible, reach their potential, and contribute fully.

The demand for our services is growing rapidly. More people than ever require supported living, education, employment, and day opportunities. Meeting these needs requires fit-for-purpose buildings, flexible spaces, and innovative programmes, and environments that allow people to grow, learn, and succeed.

Your support tonight makes all of this possible. Together, we can create more opportunities, provide safe and appropriate homes, and deliver world-class services. We can build a future where every person with learning disabilities and autistic people can thrive, where services are fit-for-purpose, and where opportunities abound.

Thank you for believing in this vision, for your generosity, and for helping make it a reality. With your support, we continue to transform lives, ensuring that every person’s story is one of independence, joy, and success.

RICHARD FRANKLIN

WELCOME FROM THE DINNER CHAIR

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Kisharon Langdon Fundraising Dinner.

This charity holds a profoundly important place in my heart, and I know it holds a special place in the heart of our community as well.

Kisharon Langdon represents what is best about us: our responsibility for one another, our commitment to inclusion, and our belief that every individual deserves the chance to live a full and meaningful life. The work of this organisation transforms lives every day; supporting children in education, empowering adults to live independently, and giving families the reassurance that their loved ones are supported with dignity, compassion and expertise.

But beyond the remarkable services, Kisharon Langdon embodies a spirit that inspires all of us. It is a reminder that when we choose to lift others, we lift our entire community with them. It shows us that meaningful change happens not only through programmes and resources, but through relationships, through the patient encouragement

of a teacher, the unwavering dedication of a support worker, and the quiet yet powerful acts of kindness that happen far from the spotlight.

Tonight is about celebrating that impact, honouring the incredible people who make it possible, and ensuring that this vital work can continue for generations to come. It is also a moment for us to come together, to recognise the collective strength in this room, and to reaffirm that each of us has a role to play in building a community where everyone belongs.

Thank you for being here, for your generosity, and for sharing in a mission that strengthens our entire community.

NICOLE RONSON ALLALOUF

INTRODUCTION FROM THE CO-CHAIRS

Welcome to the 2026 Fundraising Dinner and thank you for being part of a community that truly makes a difference.

As Co-Chairs, we are immensely proud of how far Kisharon Langdon has come. The merging of Kisharon and Langdon created an organisation with deeper expertise, broader reach, and a more unified vision, and the achievements of this past year have reaffirmed what is possible when we work together. From expanding opportunities for independent living to enriching our educational and social programmes, we have continued to deliver exceptional outcomes for the people who rely on us.

We want to express our heartfelt thanks to you, our supporters, whose generosity sustains everything we do; to our wonderful Dinner Chair, Nicole Ronson Allalouf, whose outstanding commitment to ensuring tonight’s success has

been unwavering; to our Honorary President, Leo Noé, whose leadership and belief in our mission continue to inspire us all; to our trustees, who guide us with wisdom and expertise; and of course, to our dedicated volunteers and staff, whose passion and resilience underpin every corner of our work.

Tonight is a celebration not only of what we have achieved, but of the values that make our community so special. Thank you for standing beside us and helping shape a future of opportunity and dignity for every person we support.

INTRODUCTION FROM OUR HONORARY PRESIDENT

It is a true privilege to welcome you to the 2026 Kisharon Langdon Fundraising Dinner in my role as the organisation’s first Honorary President, a position I was delighted to accept in September 2025, reflecting my long-standing connection and commitment to the values and mission of Kisharon Langdon.

I have been proud to support this organisation for decades, serving as a Trustee of Kisharon between 1998 and 2021, and playing a pivotal role in opening the Wohl Campus, Kisharon Noé School, a Loftus Learning Centre, in Hendon. Throughout that time, I have seen first-hand just how extraordinary Kisharon Langdon’s impact is, from education, supported living, and employment programmes to community inclusion initiatives that foster connection, learning, and independence. Witnessing the dedication of staff, volunteers, and the wider community has been inspiring, and I am proud to continue championing this mission.

As Honorary President and with your support, I look forward to helping to guide Kisharon Langdon into its next chapter. The organisation is stronger than ever, and its reach, quality, and impact continue to grow. am excited to see what we can achieve together in the years ahead.

Thank you for joining us tonight and for supporting a community that empowers every individual to thrive. Your generosity, engagement, and belief in this work ensure that Kisharon Langdon continues to make a lasting, positive difference in the lives of those we serve.

INTRODUCTION FROM THE YOUNG KISHARON LANGDON CO-CHAIRS

Welcome to this year’s Fundraising Dinner. As Young Kisharon Langdon Co-Chairs, we are honoured to represent the next generation of supporters for a charity that means so much to all of us. We are incredibly lucky to be part of a community that takes responsibility for one another.

We were delighted to launch Young Kisharon Langdon last year, a new initiative aimed at engaging Jewish young adults aged 21–39. Our first event during the summer, a successful Padel tournament, raised in excess of £8,000, and plans are already in motion for future events, promising more opportunities for young supporters to get involved, have fun and make a difference.

Kisharon Langdon shows what happens when compassion meets action and when we ensure that people with learning disabilities and autistic people are not only included, but valued, supported, and celebrated.

Many of us here tonight will, in one way or another, benefit from these organisations throughout our lives. That sense of shared responsibility and mutual care is at the heart of who we are. It inspires us as young leaders to step forward, get involved, and help ensure that Kisharon Langdon continues to thrive long into the future.

Thank you for joining us and for supporting a cause that strengthens our community today and for the generations to come.

ELECTRIC UMBRELLA KISHARON LANGDON MUSIC COLLABORATION

We are proud to welcome Electric Umbrella as our live band for the evening. Electric Umbrella harnesses the power of music to transform lives and society. By placing learning disabled people at the heart of performance, songwriting and participation, they challenge perceptions, break down barriers, and create genuine connection. Music is the vehicle; inclusion is the outcome.

From a Golden Buzzer on Britain’s Got Talent, to classrooms across the UK, via Downing Street and Parliament, Electric Umbrella is changing how the world sees difference. Their inclusive music experiences now reach hundreds of schools nationwide, while their wider programme empowers individuals with learning disabilities to lead, create and influence mainstream society.

Even more special is that Electric Umbrella will debut a brand-new song tonight - a beautiful Jewish song co-written alongside pupils from our Wohl Campus,

Kisharon Noé School, a Loftus Learning Centre. This collaboration grew out of a two-year, Youth Music–funded programme that has offered 30 of our pupils a unique, person-centred music education. The programme not only supports pupils in gaining a recognised Trinity College London music qualification, but also demonstrates the power of creativity to bring people together.

The original song written for tonight represents more than just a performance: it embodies the values of inclusion and belonging. After tonight, the song will be shared in workshops across Jewish schools, giving many more young people the chance to connect through music. We hope you enjoy this special moment and celebrate with us the powerful impact of creativity and collaboration.

TUFFKID NURSERY

Families who begin their Kisharon Langdon journey at our award-winning Tuffkid Nursery discover a unique and inspirational learning environment. Rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted three times consecutively, Tuffkid offers a dynamic and integrated approach where mainstream children and children with learning disabilities play and grow together, developing a deep respect and understanding of each other.

Each child has their own tailored curriculum with an ambitious and stimulating range of activities designed to ignite their curiosity and challenge their abilities. From weekly dance sessions with our exceptional dance therapists; to using real hammers, saws and nails in woodwork; to regular visits from Stanley, a volunteer’s beloved therapy dog,

every day offers new and exciting experiences. And with the support and guidance of our highly trained professional and therapeutic team, every child can progress at their own pace and develop into courageous and confident learners.

Development is also bolstered by the nursery’s specialist resources including a soft sensory room and ball pond, and a unique outdoor area with a vegetable plot, fishpond and large-scale play apparatus.

Tuffkid’s achievements are nationally recognised and we are continuously exploring ways to expand our offering, despite the nursery’s ever-growing waiting list.

WOHL CAMPUS,KISHARON NOÉ SCHOOL, A LOFTUS LEARNING CENTRE

At Kisharon Noé School on the Wohl Campus, every student is equipped with the tools to reach their potential. All pupils (aged 4-19) have moderate to severe learning disabilities and many have additional needs too, but this is a space where there are no barriers to progression.

The innovative curriculum is designed to inspire and challenge, whilst adapting to each child’s individual needs. With a focus on building independence and resilience, pupils participate in creative, cultural and sporting activities with the daily support of our speech, occupational, music, art and physiotherapists. The school’s Jewish ethos

plays an integral role, woven into each subject to make the learning experience more meaningful.

Pupils also benefit immensely from the Wohl Campus’s state-of-the-art facilities which include a hydrotherapy pool, sensory stimulation room, trampoline room, Eco Hub, music therapy room and a brand new four-acre Forest School.

As pupils near the end of their school journey, a comprehensive careers programme introduces them to a range of career paths with work placements, taster sessions and mentoring.

BRADY YOUTH

Navigating social lives is complex for any young person but even more challenging for someone with a learning disability or an autistic child. At Brady Youth, they find a place where they feel safe, supported and warmly welcomed.

The weekly club and holiday scheme for young Jewish people (aged 6-24) offers a wide range of activities including sport, art, drama, dance and music. Our cooking classes are particularly popular and every activity is carefully planned to build key life skills and improve communication.

There are also regular excursions with each trip offering opportunities to develop independence with our members taking public transport, ordering food

in restaurants, paying for items in shops, and interacting with members of the public.

Brady Youth is the highlight of the week for so many of the young people we support. It is where they build lasting friendships, discover new passions and hobbies, feel increasingly secure in their local communities and connect with others through their Jewish roots and identity. As they move towards adulthood, these experiences give them confidence and self-belief on the road to greater independence.

KISHARON LANGDON COLLEGE

Of all our services, Kisharon Langdon College is arguably on the greatest journey of transformation. Having recently appointed an ambitious new leadership team, we are investing significantly in the College - not least with plans for a purpose-built facility alongside a new holistic curriculum and qualifications programme.

This time in our students’ lives is pivotal. They are starting to make decisions which can greatly impact their future, and we encourage them to explore multiple pathways which interest and inspire them. To facilitate their decision making, we work in partnership with employers and stakeholders to offer students a taste of career and study prospects

beyond college. From the intricacies of working in a solicitors’ office to the unpredictability of working at London Zoo, our students discover there are no restrictions on their future aspirations.

Along their journey, the College’s academic and therapeutic team nurture each student’s unique potential, empowering them with the life skills to grow in independence. With workshops on healthy living, safeguarding, financial literacy and selfadvocacy to name a few, our students grow socially and emotionally and graduate from college with the confidence to grasp opportunities and overcome challenges.

SUPPORTED LIVING

Sometimes, the most meaningful journey is the one that takes you home.

Kisharon Langdon’s Supported Living service empowers over 160 people to live in a home they can call their own. Our managed flats and shared houses in the heart of London and Manchester’s Jewish communities are tailored to meet individual needs: from adapted bathrooms to automatic doors, adjustable tables, lifts and hoists. Privacy and independence are enjoyed whilst our specialist teams are on hand whenever needed.

The transition from the family home into supported living can be daunting, but our experienced team

of social workers ensure the transition is as smooth as possible. Many of our properties also have communal areas where people come together to relax or take part in activities and meals, especially on Shabbos and Jewish holidays, so they never feel isolated or alone.

Our Supported Living service is in great demand and our waiting list is growing. We are committed to ensuring that every member of the Jewish learning disability and autism community can live as independently as possible and offering sufficient appropriate accommodation is at the forefront of our funding priorities.

DAY OPPORTUNITIES

At Kisharon Langdon, we want every day to be a good day. Which is why we empower people we support to build bespoke schedules tailored to their needs, interests and aspirations. A busy and diverse schedule is on offer ranging from gardening projects to book clubs, yoga sessions to enterprise classes. There are also monthly Friday night dinners which regularly draw over 70 people to share the spirit of bringing in Shabbos.

As much as possible, we encourage and organise experiences out in the community. Whether it is a cycling tour, restaurant visit or theatre trip, every excursion is an opportunity for people we support to grow in confidence and independence.

For those who wish to achieve personal and professional goals, we offer both voluntary and paid projects through our Social Enterprises and run personal development courses in food safety, personal hygiene, financial coaching and online safety - all designed to build resilience and develop personal safety skills.

Especially rewarding is our community outreach programme where people we support engage in charitable projects including Mitzvah Day. These initiatives afford participants a real sense of worth, highlighting their valuable contribution to their local community and beyond.

SOCIAL ENTERPRISES

Kisharon Langdon’s social enterprises are independent businesses which enable the people we support to take their first foray into the world of work in a safe and nurturing environment. They comprise of our unique Gift and Homeware Store ‘Equal’ in Temple Fortune; our popular Bike Shop in Hendon; our partnership library in Childs Hill; and our online second-hand book business, New Chapters, in Harrow.

Through a range of training and employment opportunities, each enterprise equips people with key practical skills and develops their understanding

of retail and e-commerce. Valuable insight is gained into workplace expectations such as punctuality, accountability and adaptability. Everyone is encouraged to participate in all aspects of running the business and as a result, many gain the confidence to explore job opportunities outside of Kisharon Langdon.

Please do visit our inspiring enterprises, and with all proceeds transferred straight back to Kisharon Langdon, your custom will ensure even more people can benefit from the services we offer.

EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMME

For people we support, employment is about far more than just ‘a job’. It’s a reason to wake up in the morning, connect with others and feel valued by their community. The challenge is finding an employer willing to offer meaningful opportunities, but thanks to generous funding from Wohl Legacy, Kisharon Langdon has established the Wohl Employability Programme, a groundbreaking initiative offering clear pathways into paid and voluntary roles.

Our employment team work with candidates to recognise their strengths, understand their passions and aspirations, fill gaps in their skills training and identify suitable opportunities. Once ready to apply for jobs, each person receives support

with applications and interview training and is allocated a mentor who guides them and acts as a constant source of support.

One of the key reasons for the programme’s huge success is the partnerships built with a wealth of employers. These strong bonds ensure that people we support secure sustainable, meaningful employment where diversity and inclusiveness are celebrated. Our current employers range from five-star hotels to law and media firms to community organisations. Every employer who joins our programme takes us one step closer to securing equal opportunities for the learning disability and autism community.

VOLUNTEERING

Volunteers play a vital role at Kisharon Langdon, supporting our mission to help people with learning disabilities and autistic people live meaningful, independent lives. Without their time, dedication and kindness, much of our work simply would not be possible. Volunteers help create a more inclusive community, offering practical assistance, friendship and a sense of belonging to the people we support.

Our volunteering programme is diverse, with roles that reflect the range of services we offer. Some volunteers work directly with individuals in our Supported Living homes, helping with everyday tasks and promoting independence, while others contribute by mentoring individuals in our Employment Support programme or sharing their skillset in cookery, woodwork, gardening or modern languages.

In addition to these frontline roles, we also have volunteers who assist with administrative tasks and fundraising activities, ensuring that our services continue to run smoothly and reach as many people as possible. Each role, no matter how big or small, is essential to the success of Kisharon Langdon and has a real impact on the lives of the people we support.

Volunteering not only enhances the lives of the individuals we work with but also strengthens the wider community by promoting inclusion and understanding. It’s a key part of how we deliver our services and build a brighter future for people with learning disabilities and autistic people.

For more information, email: volunteer@kisharonlangdon.org.uk

THE VITAL ROLE OF FUNDRAISING

Kisharon Langdon’s work would not be possible without the generosity of our donors. From all of our donors to those who participate in fundraising challenges or attend our events, every contribution makes a difference. Gifts in Wills also play a crucial role, providing a lasting legacy that helps us secure the future of our services for generations to come. This network of dedicated supporters enables us to provide life-changing opportunities for the people we support.

Fundraising is the critical component in how we bridge the £4.6m shortfall that exists between the £24m cost of running the organisation and the

income and fees received from local authorities and the families we support. In fact, many of our crucial services receive no local authority or government funding at all. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we are able to offer truly personalised care, specialist equipment, innovative programmes and the opportunity for individuals with learning disabilities and autistic people to lead fulfilling and independent lives.

YOUNG KISHARON LANGDON

It’s almost been a year since Young Kisharon Langdon’s committee was born, co-chaired by Ruby Cole and James Doffman. The committee had a successful first year after celebrating a successful launch with their first event, a highenergy Padel Tournament on Sunday 29 June, raising more than £8,000. The much-anticipated event brought together 50 enthusiastic players who competed across five groups, showcasing the excitement of the UK’s fastest-growing sport.

In September, Young Kisharon Langdon teamed up with Young JW3 for a fantastic event featuring baking expert Badannie from Piped Dreams Bakery, helping to raise awareness of Kisharon Langdon’s vital work.

In 2026, Young Kisharon Langdon is excited to launch a new initiative: The Female Network - an inspiring event for young professionals to hear from women who have built successful careers while balancing parenting, leadership and networking.

We’re also delighted to share that their second padel tournament will take place on Sunday 5th July. Following the fantastic success of last year’s event, this year’s tournament will be bigger and better, with expanded capacity to welcome even more players.
