This dual-purpose luxury carriage, which will be operational by winter 2013, is designed to increase the seating capacity of the Viceroy Special to accommodate larger groups as well as to be attached to the public service trains for the benefit of individual passengers and smaller groups in a more affordable way. The old carriage has been refurbished in period style to reflect an ancient charm to be compatible with the authentic Viceroy Special, which is operational under charter basis. The Viceroy 2 when attached to the public train, reach your destination according to the common schedule of the Sri Lanka Railways but this special carriage is beyond the comprehension of public train traveler. The air-conditioned carriage has 24 comfortable seats with tables where meals and refreshments are served. The TV lounge and mini bar offers a high-end travel experience.
