KIPS BAY BOYS & GIRLS CLUB 2012 ANNUAL REPORT “Keep on keepin’ on.” The words are from Bob Dylan’s evocative song “Tangled Up In Blue.” The lyrics begin: “The only thing I knew how to do was keep on keepin’ on …” I came to Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club in 1996. Recently, writing to our long-time property manager to thank him for a gift, I reflected on the projects we have worked on together over 17 years: renovation of the Palmaro Clubhouse, building the ice rink, the air-supported dome, the Frederic R. & Margaret Coudert Clubhouse, and projects still in the works. This work does not get old; and the reason it doesn’t is the contribution that we make every day, throughout the year, to thousands of youngsters. Portrayed throughout this report are youngsters who attend Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club today. They are the reason that our staff, voluntary leadership, as well as all of you in the Kips Bay family, “keep on keepin’ on.” THANK YOU SO MUCH. Daniel Quintero Lucile Palmaro Clubhouse May 2013

For 25 years we have happily hosted youngsters, including these girls from nearby St. Joseph’s School for the Deaf who are greeted in sign language by other club members whom have learned, on their own, to sign words of welcome.
