Who can apply for a scholarship?
Scholarships are available for students entering various year levels depending on the scholarship category. Some scholarships are open to both current and prospective students, while the Wyvern Young Women Scholarship is available to new students only.
Can current Kingswood College students apply?
Current students may apply for Academic, Choral, Instrumental and Visual Arts Scholarships. Current students are not eligible for the Wyvern Young Women Scholarship.
Does receiving a scholarship mean all tuition fees are covered?
No. Scholarships provide partial remission of tuition fees and are awarded at the discretion of the Principal.
What supporting documents are required?
Most scholarship applications require:
Recent school reports
NAPLAN results (where applicable)
Evidence of achievements relevant to the scholarship
Proof of Australian citizenship or permanent residency where required
Some scholarships may require additional materials such as portfolios, certificates or audition preparation.
What is included in the Academic Scholarship examination?
The assessment is a written test aligned to age-appropriate academic standards and is designed to assess a student's academic potential and readiness for scholarship consideration. Please note: The results of the Academic Scholarship examination are not provided to applicants or their families.
What should students prepare for auditions or folio interviews?
Students should present their strongest work and demonstrate both skill and commitment. Audition and folio requirements vary according to the scholarship category and will be provided after an application has been received.
What happens after I submit my application?
Applications are reviewed by the scholarship selection panel. Shortlisted applicants may be invited to attend an interview with the Principal or complete further assessments, depending on the scholarship category.
What are the costs involved in completing an application?
The cost differs per application type. Please see the following pages for application costs per scholarship. 4

Can a student apply for more than one scholarship?
Yes. Students may apply for multiple scholarship categories if they meet the eligibility requirements and can provide evidence of achievement in each area. Families should discuss the most appropriate pathway with the Admissions Team.
Are scholarship recipients expected to maintain certain standards?
Yes. Scholarship recipients are expected to remain actively engaged in College life, demonstrate ongoing commitment to their area of excellence and maintain satisfactory progress throughout their time at Kingswood College.
When will families be advised of the outcome?
Families will be notified after all assessments, auditions, interviews and selection processes have been completed.
