At King’s College, we guarantee housing placement for all students for all four years, starting with traditional, collegiate double room living your first two years and into suite-style and apartment living by your third, fourth, (and maybe even fifth) years. Depending on your schedule each semester or activities you’re involved in, your meal plan is a convenient and reliable resource. King’s has five different facilities to give you choices of where, when, and what to eat from our all-you-care-toeat cafeteria to our three, on-campus restaurants (including Chick-fil-A) and our Monarch Mart convenience store. Your meal plan, Flex Dollars, and King’s Cash will ensure you don’t have to stress about shopping or cooking. Meal plans are required for first- and second-year students living on campus and available to all oncampus residents and commuters!

UNMATCHED RESIDENCE SUPPORT At most colleges, you’ll find that on-campus residence halls and apartments have Resident Assistants, but King’s College goes further by offering Resident Counselors, too. Resident Assistants (RAs) have many responsibilities, but their primary role is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment through residential activities while upholding rules and managing conflict. Usually in their senior year, they are important peer mentors who can help you transition into college life. King’s College staffs several RAs in every residence hall and apartment to ensure ample individual support. However, King’s College places incredible importance on more than just providing education and a place to live. Your wellness and success are our top priority, which is why the College also staffs Resident Counselors (RCs) in every residence hall and apartment. RCs are paraprofessional advisors, and often recent graduates of King’s, who can assist you with academic, personal, or spiritual issues. RCs meet with students the first three weeks of every semester, at midterm, and as needed throughout the year to ensure you’re fully supported in mind and heart.
ESSEFF HALL NORTH MAIN STREET
Esseff Hall typically houses first and second year students in double rooms, providing a traditional collegiate experience for women in a community-based atmosphere. This living arrangement ensures students are supported and comfortable as they transition to college life! Each floor of Esseff includes two common bathrooms and a TV and study lounge, and the building is staffed with five Resident Assistants and five Resident Counselors. For added confidence, the lobby is staffed with a security desk attendant 24-hours. Meal plans are required for all residents.

HOLY CROSS HALL FRANKLIN STREET
Starting college with your roommate is such an exciting rite of passage! Holy Cross Hall provides another traditional first-year college experience, typically housing first- and second-year men in collegiate double rooms in a communitybased atmosphere; although, a limited number of two- and three-person suites are available for upper-class students. Holy Cross is our tallest residence with each floor including one common bathroom, one guest bathroom, and a TV and study lounge. For added confidence, the lobby is staffed with a security desk attendant 24-hours and the building is staffed with ten Resident Assistants and nine Resident Counselors. The 12th floor houses the Rev. Donald Grimes, C.S.C., Memorial Chapel and living-learning classroom space. Meal plans are required for all residents.

MARIE F. LUKSIC HALL JACKSON STREET
Luksic Hall gives off quintessential college housing vibes! This three-story, suite-style residence hall typically houses upper-class men and women in single occupancy rooms (a limited number of double rooms are available). Luksic is quiet and more private compared to other residential options and is great for students who want to focus more on academics. The building features semi-private bathrooms; a computer lab; small, shared kitchen; and a common lounge. The building is staffed with two Resident Assistants and one Resident Counselor. Meal plans are required for all residents.

RYAN HALL NORTH MAIN STREET
Living in Ryan Hall comes with tradition at King’s since it was one of the first major apartment buildings added to campus. With on-campus apartment living, you have greater freedom, and you can choose your roommates, which, in Ryan, includes three- and four-person suites for either men or women. Because of its configuration, Ryan tends to be a middle ground for activity (O’Hara is the busiest and Flood is the quietest). Ryan also has lounges on the second, third, and fourth floor; and is staffed by four Resident Assistants and one Resident Counselor. Meal plans are available, but not required, for all residents.

Flood Hall is our quaint apartment building! This facility typically houses upper-class men and women in four-person apartments where you can choose your own roommates. Students love the freedom that on-campus apartment living provides, and they especially appreciate how Flood is uniquely adaptable and easy to personalize. The building includes a lounge on the lower level and is staffed by two Resident Assistants and one Resident Counselor. While Flood Hall is ADA accessible, the facility is located at the top of a steep hill, and because of its location, is our quietest apartment building. Meal plans are available, but not required, for all residents.

O’HARA HALL NORTH MAIN STREET
O’Hara Hall is one of our largest apartment facilities and is designed as an active living and learning center. The College’s Early Learning Center and Education Department are housed on the ground level while four- and fiveperson apartments for upper-class men and women are on the second, third, and fourth floors. O’Hara has a more open concept living and dining space in each suite, making it a popular facility for active residents. The building includes two lounges—one quiet and one social—on each of the residential floors; and is staffed by three Resident Assistants and one Resident Counselor. Meal plans are available, but not required, for all residents.

ALLEY CENTER PUBLIC SQUARE
The Alley Center is our newest apartment facility and is designed as a health sciences living and learning community for graduate students. Alley is the first of our two-building complex dedicated to our School of Health Sciences. With program departments, labs, and classes on the first two floors, one- and two-person apartments as well as efficiency suites for Physician Assistants on rotation can be found on the sixth, seventh, and eighth floors. Alley includes common TV lounges on each floor as well as a Chapel and a non-denominational prayer room on the sixth floor. One Resident Assistant and one Resident Counselor are assigned to the building, and the lobby is staffed with a security desk attendant 24-hours. The Alley Center is also home to Chick-fil-A, which can be accessed from the lobby or street-level entrance! Meal plans are available, but not required, for all residents.

*Paid single rooms are offered when space allows. **It is possible for a second-year student to be placed in an apartment during the Housing Lottery. In this case, a meal plan would be required if living in an on-campus apartment.
RESIDENCY POLICY All first-year and second-year students who do not reside within commuting distance (within 45 miles of campus) and who are under 21 years of age are required to live in College housing. Junior and senior students who have successfully completed at least 57 credit hours and maintain a 2.5 minimum GPA may reside off campus but must submit an Off-campus Housing Form. A student meeting those criteria will be conditionally approved, pending the completion of the semester prior to moving off campus. A commuter student is defined as a student who resides in the permanent home of their parents or legal guardian, or in the home of a close relative (who is not a student and is at least 30 years of age), and who commutes to classes each day. A commuter may not reside more than 45 driving miles from home to the campus.
