editorial. " God bless you all. God save the King. . . . " History will have her own record of all that led up to the utterance of these farewell words by him who was until yesterday our King. It is not for us to attempt to write that history. Rather, with these words in our hearts, would we offer our humble homage to him who is our King to-day. It is usual, it would seem, to begin an editorial with an apology to the effect that there is unfortunately nothing to report and that the task of the editors is consequently difficult. No one has ever attempted to show the reason for this custom which is apparently only backed up by conventionality. Recent editors of The Vigornian, however, have mercifully avoided the practice and we too beg that we may be allowed to follow their example and proceed at once to business. We do, however, owe one apology to our readers. That this volume has reached its eleven-hundredth page, we feel is scarcely to our credit. The fact has not escaped bur notice and a change would have been made, had it not been felt, that before a new volume was opened, some alteration in size might be effected. Such an alteration would not, of course, be possible without serious consideration. One of the chief objections in the past has been that a change in size would not be considered desirable by those O.V. who bind their copies. Whether binding was ever extensively practised we cannot say, but it seems unlikely that it is today, or voices would surely have been raised against the
