This year of grace nineteen hundred and thirty-five has not found us editors idle. Spurred on by the feeling that this year was worthy of memory in the history of our country, as the twenty-fifth of our Sovereign's reign, we determined to make it memorable also in the annals of the School. Last July placards and posters were shrieking : Bigger and Better Vigornians. Look Out for this Term's Bumper Issue ! " The great day of publication arrived. Knots of anxious scholars gather in the quadrangle :• the cry goes round the common-rooms: "It's double the size: (no alteration in price)." Stand to attention, you editors of the past! Bow your heads, you inky scribes—you whose pages never reached double figures! The Vigornian has a new lease of life, rescued from the miry pit in which you have besmirched her fair name. And now, the arraignment of the past complete, we stand triumphant in hope for the future. Herewith a fatter Vigornian still. It is with much regret that we have to announce that nothing has happened this term. Having triumphantly announced this, we of course proceed to tell you what has happened. Probably the most noticeable change this term has been in the revival of house activities. This has been suitably followed by the introduction of House Notes in this issue. We hope that these innovations will not lead to any unpleasant inter-house rivalry, but will just serve to foster that excellent spirit of competition which keeps alive so much that otherwise might die an early death.
