editorial. Nothing, we think, ought to have a more important place in the School Magazine than the subject of Mr. Rammell's retirement. We cannot talk patronizingly of " years of faithful service " and " a record of unswerving devotion " : let that task be to those who so admirably summed up Mr. RammeH's career on Speech Day : they said all that was proper to the occasion, and Mr. Rammell himself would be the last person to desire a repetition of that praise now. All the same we think a word should be said about Mr. RammeH's connection with the games of the School—a side of his career that was only touched upon in the speeches, and which to the boys of the School seems to need a more prominent place. Both Mr. and Miss Rammell were very energetic supporters of County Sport. Miss Rammell led the Worcestershire Ladies' Hockey Team for several years, and Mr. Rammell was one of the founders of the Worcester City Rugby Football Club. Moreover they were both very well known as Lawn Tennis players in Worcestershire before the War. They did not, however, confine their activities to the outside world. Mr. Rammell has been a keen and enthusiastic helper in all the School Games. It is entirely due to him and his continued keenness that the standard of Fives in the School is as high as it is at present. He has showed unflagging interest also in the School Cricket, right up to the present day, and may always be found on the field on every half-holiday coaching and playing in the games.
