At the end of a Christmas Term one is inevitably faced with the problem of representing a very pleasant term in adequate language. The Summer is as brilliant and gay as anyone could hope : even the Easter Term—which public opinion classes as " dull," has at least enough variety in sports to make it worth writing about. But the term which is just past, pleasant as it is, has a certain quality about it that one might call " stodgy," so that it is impossible to do it justice. For all that, its character as the first term in the School Year, the time of Rugger and Winter, makes it second only to the Summer Term. The warm weather, indeed, has made it most unlike Winter: only twice has it frozen, while not a rumour has been breathed of skating. Rugger, however, gives the term its nature, and that has been vigorously pursued all the time, until the usual floods came, in spite of the comparatively dry Summer, and swamped the fields: even then, however, we were lucky to have the use of the Worcester City ground, and all the rest of the term there was nothing to stop our games. The Junior Rugger has been particularly well organised this term, a notable feature being the " Belows " House Matches, Inter-Form Matches, etc., instead of the endless " pick-up " games of former years. WORK. There is not much that can be said upon this ordinary topic. With regard to the King's Scholarship Examination we are sorry to note that only two of our number competed, while the standard was lower than the average. We welcome Mr. S. W. Segger to the staff this term. The O.T.C. sent in the usual number of candidates for the Certificate
