PRICE is.

Chappel memorial Reading Room. Of the .£1,400 required, not quite half has hitherto been subscribed or promised. The Governors are going to begin building the new Classrooms at once. It will be a great saving of expense if the Reading Room can be built at the same time, but, unless subscriptions come in more rapidly than they have done in response to the recent appeal sent to all O.V., this will not be possible. I am convinced that O.V. do not wish the scheme to fail for lack of their support and I know of many who mean to subscribe but who have not yet done so. It is urgent that subscriptions, or promises, if more convenient, should be immediate and substantial if the building is to be begun at the same time as the Classrooms.

C. CREIGHTON.
