On the whole the term has been quite successful, though our nerves have been sorely tried by the House matches adopting such elusive tactics and finally springing upon us unawares. The members of the teams fortunately recovered just before play and the result was some very good games, but of these a more thrilling account will be found elsewhere. We should like to take the opportunity of congratulating Mr. and Mrs. Thomas on the birth of a daughter on February I5th. # * * Where once stood a solitary tree surrounded by various flowers, and among other things weeds and a dilapidated system of fencing (the triangle lying directly in the path of anyone wishing to proceed from Castle House to School House or vice-versa), now flourishes a small field, imported from Tutnall. * » * Doubtless this wholesale moving of turf is to render it possible, in the event of the river holding up the House matches in future years, to play them in the vicinity of the School. » * *
