Readers, pray make an attempt to visualise this scene : the wretched but uncomplaining editor who sits at his study table making vain efforts to put something down, something to fill up space if nothing else. Once every term he arrives at the same state of dreaded despondency when face to face with the same problem, unless Fortune smiles upon him and he has managed to place his burden upon the shoulders of a more hopelessly inefficient junior editor. This year, no luck; his well-known ruse is " Ichabod," and, albeit stricken at heart, he proceeds with the hated task. Reader, let us discourse together awhile.
School After herculean eflorts, a squad managed to extract the Barge from the Diglis Basin, where she had been housed for the winter. Mr. Bradley, of Lock House, with the " Dawn," was kind enough to tow her up to the old moorings ; but since then she has been conveyed across the river and now floats in her glory under the Deanery wall. It is a great convenience, as all future Captains of Boats will realise in their years of office.
