Scbool Rotes, We heard towards mid-term, with profound sorrow, of the death of the Rev. W. E. Bolland, Headmaster of the School from 1879 to 1896. It was during his period of office that the School entered the ranks of Public Schools, and his work cannot be underestimated. We offer our deepest sympathies to the relatives of the deceased.
It was with great regret that we parted with the Rev H. Hughes last term. We wish him every success in his new sphere of life as Headmaster of King's College, Taunton, and heartily welcome the Rev. R. Craze in his place.
We should like to take this opportunity of expressing our deepest sympathies with Mr. R. M. M. Beach-Hicks on his sad bereavement. Mrs. Beach-Hicks was well-known in School circles and her loss is felt universally.
We are again fortunate in having the use of the Cathedral tennis-court, through the kindness of Canon Southwell, who has also been generous enough to supply the balls. As some small return we keep the grass trimmed to a respectable length.
