Our first duty is to welcome very heartily Rev. C. Creighton. There have been none of the drastic changes which are sometimes associated with new headmasters, but we hear rumours of far-reaching schemes of reform, in which we wish him every success. * # » We regret to announce the loss of Rev. Roland Allen, VIA classical master, who left us at the end of last term to take up the work which he temporarily relinquished some years ago : he has now taken up secretarial work in connection with Chinese Missions, where his personal experiences and advice will prove a valuable asset to those in authority. * * * Mr. F. S. Salisbury, who takes his place, comes to us from Berkhampstead School. He has already offered his services for coaching the two IV. 's and the "rowing beginners," and we are very grateful for his help. * * * We hear that Rev. E. Tupper, the late Precentor, is now at work in his parish at Mortlake. We should like to wish him and Mrs. Tupper all success and happiness in their new life. His successor, Rev. Barrington-Baker, has made his appearance among us, and very kindly relieves the, pressure of work by taking several forms during the week. * * *
