ScDool Rotes. Since our last issue we have received the sad news of no less than nine additions to our already too long list of Old Vigornians fallen in the War. We extend our deepest sympathy to the parents of these. * * *

It is with regret that we part with our late French Master, so aptly described on last year's Speech Day as " a vigorous personality," Mr. A. H. Taylor. We have to thank him very much for the trouble he took over the Cricket and Swimming in the Summer Term and for his inauguration of the Fencing Class. We wish him all success in his new appointment. * * *

In his place we welcome Miss Hughes, B.A., London. We must thank Mr. Hughes for his introduction to the staff. We also welcome Miss Bennett, who undertakes part-time duties. * * *

At the end of last Term we were able to hand over to various objects over £18, the result of a little " end of Term foolery." An account of this entertainment may be found elsewhere. * * *
