drawing to a close. We take it for granted that our readers are equally hazy about the season of the year, and consequently will not have yet commenced to clamour for our columns. We cannot remember when mid June did not see us revelling in ices and dipping in Sabrina. Indeed, this year, we have felt at times that a March, or even a November, number would not be inappropriate.

We were extremely unfortunate last term in being compelled to scratch our boat race with Hereford, oaring to an outbreak of measles there. We had previously cancelled our race with Moncton Coombe, and in order not to be without a race, we endeavoured to arrange one with Monmouth School, Hereford's rivals. This, too, fell through, and so our only race was with the O.V.'s, whom we beat very handsomely by two lengths ; and this though two of the crew were
