elsewhere. We gained nine Higher Certificates, including two first classes, and twelve Lower Certificates with fourteen firsts. The rest of the School gained a very satisfactory report from Rev. S. Hughes Games, M.A. While on the subject of work, our congratulations are due to A. J. Dash on being awarded a School Exhibition on the result of the Certificate, to H. S. Berkeley for a History Exhibition at St. John's, Oxford, and to E. V. Overell for an open Scholarship of £30 at Trinity Hall, Camb. Besides these we are sending three other boys to Oxford, Raymond, MacNalty, and Larr.
In football the first team is meeting with varied success, and the two School Matches played up till now have resulted, one in a crushing defeat and the other in a glorious victory. We are especially fortunate in our half-backs, and backs, and if only our forward line play up to the form shown against Hereford we ought to achieve moderate success. Our record up to
