only four old colours left, but there were others of promise to fill the vacant places. Our forward line, with the exception of Stevens, our captain and chief goal-getter, was extremely weak. But the team as a whole played with marked vigour and determination, and indeed we are glad to notice a decided increase of keenness throughout the School. Our most severe defeats were sustained at Cheltenham and Hereford, at both of which places the team fell grievously to pieces; but several of our 9 victories were creditable, and our losses only numbered 5.
