exciting matches were those against Hereford Cathedral School; the former we won by i run and the return we lost by 3 runs. *

The weakness of the team lay in the bowling, though in this we were more successful than was expected. The batting was at times brilliant, but too dependent on a few good bats and conspicuous by a painfully long tail. In the Bromsgrove match an almost certain chance of victory was thrown away by the unaccountable collapse of the tail. The fielding of the team was somewhat uncertain. Before leaving the subject of cricket we should like to congratulate B. G. Stevens on playing for Worcestershire 2nd XL at Birmingham in the holidays. *

During the latter part of last term our minds were occupied with the usual Summer Examinations of the Oxford and Cambridge Joint Board. The results were excellent. Eight High Certificates and twelve Lower Certificates were obtained
