reverse, thus being able to record two successive years without a single defeat, but the Examinations throughout the School were also most satisfactory. * # * Out of 9 Candidates eight gained Higher Certificates with five Distinctions, whilst II Lower Certificates were won, with 12 First Classes: of the four who sat for the London Matriculation two passed in the First and two in the Second Division. The Examiner's Report on the work of the Lower School was equally indicative of progress. * * * The only fault to be found with a most successful Cricket Season was the weather, which unfortunately prevented us from meeting some of our School rivals, notably Dean Close. Once or twice we were near defeat, but we were also robbed of a probable victory on more than one occasion. Out of 16 matches, 7 were won, 5 drawn, and 4 abandoned.
