before the actual commencement of the Cricket Season. * * * Cricket prospects are very bright: only two> of last year's team have left, and Mr. Castley has also proved a great acquisition. Though practice was considerably interfered with at the beginning of the Term by the heavy rains, the XI. was able to make use of the nets at Boughton Park, by the kindness of St. John's C.C. The field adjoining ours, rented duringthe football season, has also been prepared for the second game. * * * The list of fixtures is a great improvement on last season's, including whole-day matches with Bromsgrove School, Norton Barracks, and Malvern; two matches have also been arranged with Malvern College 2nd XI. We regret that owing to an oversight several friends of the School did not receive fixture-cards till rather late. We include in this number accounts of the earlier matches, and print below the fixtures, for the remainder of the Term: —
