We are conscious of only too many faults in the Vigornian, but " humanum est errare," and for this reason alone our critics must be lenient, and remember

or look forward to the time when they were, or, if they are still at School, will be, editors in their turn. And if they do this we are sure they will forgive any slips or mistakes we may have made. We do not expect or even hope to be free from all criticism, for just as cricket would become slack if there were no competition in it, so the Vigornian would become slack and uninteresting if there were no kind critics to review it and point out the failings of the editors. But our task is over, and we now bid farewell for ever to our duties as editors. We have steered our ship safe back to harbour, and are now ready to hand it over to our successors. We wish them every success, and hope that they will experience the same kindness at the hands of their critics as we have done. The summer term, as usual, brings on the dread summer examinations, which gradually monopolise all the work during the next few weeks. Some of our number had very hard lines in being ploughed last year. We wish them the best of luck this time as they certainly deserve it. To turn to Sports, we are glad that this year has opened so successfully. It is very great to have beaten Hereford on their own water; and we hope
