feel this term that it is high time to address a strong complaint to past and present members of the School for the lamentable lack of support afforded by them to our School Magazine. The time seems to have come when boys in the School merely take their copy of the " Vigornian " as a matter of course, and because it is charged in the bill, but when it comes to helping in any way to make it more interesting, they no more

dream of contributing to it than they would of writing an article in the " Spectator," or criticising a new work in the " Fortnightly Review." Even the opportunity offered them of venting their grievances in correspondence to the Editor, which is never ignored, is now very rarely made use of. Our O.V. correspondent has, in this number, made an urgent appeal to O.V's to send support in the shape of articles, especially letters from abroad, and we should like for our part to direct a still more pressing request to present members of the School to do their best by writing articles, descriptive or critical, or by sending their budding poetical inspirations (surely there are some in the School who are " taken that way") to make their School Magazine more interesting than it can possibly be this number, when we are sorry to say there are no contributions either from past or present members of the School, beyond the mere dry chronicle of the School events since our last number. P.S.—Since writing the above we have received a much wanted contribution from an O.V., for which we are very thankful, as it considerably enhances the interest of this number.
