i)N case our readers should be surprised at receiving a number at such an unusual time, it may be advisable for us to state that in future the Vigornian will be published three times a year, as soon after the beginning of each term as possible. This change will enable us to supply school news more upto-date and to divide our matter more equally. In answer to several complaints, we are now remedying our former remissness by inserting an account of the

income and expenditure of the various school institutions, as submitted to us by their respective treasurers. As we have this year dropped the unpleasant custom of collecting subscriptions, the Games' funds are considerably reduced, and it has been found necessary in consequence to organise a concert by which we hope to make up the deficiency. The first eight weeks of last term were particularly uneventful, all the interest, from an athletic point of view, being confined to the last fortnight. The first event was the boat race which this year took place at Hereford. The fates have evidently ordained that the victory should always go with the home boat, which was the case this year, as in the previous five ; we should not object to a continuance of this arrangement for twelve months more, but after that a change would be more acceptable. We may attempt to retrieve our fortunes at the Worcester Regatta this summer, but unfortunately not with the same crew as two of its members are at present hors-de-combat. The regatta passed off with considerable success, the events succeeding each other with much less delay than is usually the case. The chief event was the race with the Old Vigornians which the School boat won fairly easily ; the O.V's had been obliged to rearrange their
