Oitorial. |HEN fugaces labuntur anni ! Another School year has rolled away to be numbered with the past, taking with it many familiar faces. It is, in a sense, the last of an era, for last term we had to bid farewell to the Rev. W. E. Bolland, who for seventeen years had been Head Master. We offer our heartiest welcome to his successor, the Rev. W. Haighton Chappel, who has already earned a deserved popularity by the unflagging interest he has shewn in our games ; it is with confidence and hope that we look forward to the future : confidence, that he will do all in his power to promote the welfare of the School; and hope, that his efforts will be rewarded.

We might mention, en passant, that there is a prospect of a large increase in our numbers next term. We hope that the time is not far hence when we shall be able to fill our spacious Hall. This term has seen manychanges, both in work proper and in the organisation of games. Afternoon School commences at 2.15, and we hope that, in the near future, work will commence still earlier ; the innovation causes general satisfaction, as it allows considerably more time for recreation in the evening, particularly so during the Winter term, when darkness sets in so soon. At last we have assumed our correct appellation as a body—we are now Worcester Cathedral King's School, and the letters on the caps are being altered to W.C.K.S. It is curious that we have not previously borne that name, especially when the words of the School Arms distinctly shew that it is the correct one. The old system of monitors has been done away with, six being now chosen, by the Head Master, from the members of the Sixth Form. Their names are given elsewhere. We are glad to see that they have resumed the old custom of holding Monitors' Meetings, which had been laid aside during the past two years. The death of Mr. Rowley Hill, on October
