the afternoon the Duke paid a visit to the Cathedral and coming through the cloisters entered the College Hall, where he was received with hearty demonstrations which, if possible, increased when having asked the Head Master for an extra week at Easter, he came forward and addressed the School in a few words, telling them that his request had been granted.

This year has also seen the completion of a new Carpentering Shop, which has been erected by the Governors, and is ready for use next term. During this year the School has obtained several successes, among the chief of which is the accomplishment of Dutton in winning the 'Varsity sculls.
are now fast approaching the close of another School year, and of one which has been unusually eventful to the School in various ways. First and foremost we have been honoured by a visit from the Duke of York. His Royal Highness came to Worcester on the 3rd of April to lay the foundation stone of the Victoria Institute. Another new institution has also come into existence,—an institution which has for some time continued to be a prospect in the immediate future— the Museum. On this subject former editors of the Vigornian have received much correspondence, which has at length borne fruit. The subject was energetically taken up by Mr. Bachelor, under whose presidency a committee was formed, and A. Bennett was elected Curator, and H. W. Morris, Hon. Secretary. These officials aided by the Committee went zealously to work, so that in a surprisingly short time a very interesting
