(Ebitouial. :E are now well embarked on a fresh School year. Soon after the beginning of the term came Speech Day, a full account of which will be found in another column. The Governors have not yet been able to build new Class Rooms for us, but they have had the Old House done up and much improved. We seize this opportunity of thanking them all; and especially Canon KnoxLittle for the great trouble he has taken in person both about the Old House and the new Carpentry Workshop, which is now being built. cate Examinations; we hope that all the candidates will make the most of the time before them, and gain for the School a creditable report. Last term there were two candidates for the Higher Certificate, Davies i. and Bennett; both gained certificates, and Davies obtained " distinction " in Divinity. A class has been started this term under Professor Fawke for Boxing, Fencing, etc. ; it is getting on well, and we recommend the rest of the School to join it. We gave a full account of the Cricket season in our last issue. It was perhaps not so successful as was expected, but we may look forward to next summer with expectation of better things, as we shall only have lost one of last year's eleven; grounding our hopes on the promise shown in several members. We hope for a successful term on the river when we reassemble after the holidays. This can only be expected if everybody does his best to contribute towards that success. There are several fellows, who ought to join the club, who as yet are not among its numbers ; we have even heard that there are cases of boys who prefer the Town Rowing Club to their own, but we can hardly believe this : such utter lack of patriotism seems too impossible to be credited !
