As part of the School’s ongoing commitment to creating opportunities for Support Staff to come together, share knowledge, and strengthen connections across departments, we will be introducing a Support Staff meeting for all School staff.
The meeting will include updates on key topics, as well as time for questions, discussion, and informal networking with colleagues from areas of the School.
To help shape the content of this meeting, we would like to hear what matters most to you. Please share any topics or questions you would like more information about with Neil directly. He will gather feedback and pass on the most frequently raised themes. Please submit your feedback no later than Thursday 5th March.
The first meeting will take place on Wednesday 18th March, 14:00-15:00 in the Science Auditorium. All Support staff are welcome to attend; however, please discuss attendance with your line manager in advance to ensure this is achievable operationally.
Please contact Neil on n.parry@kings-school.co.uk

Our Badminton Coach Lesley was recently informed she had won this year’s Badminton England Grassroots Coach of the Year Award!
“There are so many coaches who are worthy winners that through creating opportunities etc, make such a positive difference in their communities, through the sport of Badminton. It is a privilege to be a coach and coach educator, meeting and working with so many great people. I just love it and find it very rewarding.”

Congratulations to Natalie, Craig and Tara for passing their lifeguard revalidations!

Congratulations on 25 years! Thank you Nick for the dedication, commitment, and heart you’ve put into the Centre. Your contribution has shaped so much of what we do today — not only within the Sports Centre, but across multiple departments in the school through your teaching and passion for first aid. Nick's journey at King's began in December 2000 at the age of 16, joining the then‑Recreation Centre as a Catering Assistant for two years. After returning from university, he moved into the role of a Recreation Assistant before progressing to Duty Manager. Along the way, Nick discovered a real passion for teaching and helping others, adding qualifications as a Trainer/Assessor in first aid, manual handling and pool lifeguard tuition - to name just a few. These roles enabled Nick to inspire and support countless members of staff, pupils, local businesses and members of the local community. Thank you, once again Nick for everything you have contributed to the Centre over the last 25 years.
